This must be rare, I have never seen one of these, what bit is it?
#3
I believe these can be used as portable cd players though these days I doubt anyone would have such a massive thing for listening to music, and the batteries would wear down fast I reckon, plus CD's? what are they lol

Im guessing 32bit, otherwise the games wouldnt run

16 bit... it's a portable (of sorts) mega drive and mega cd, as the op says quite rare and goes for a fair bit on ebay - boxed would be worth considerably more to a collector.

Prob get about £100 or so on Fleabay.
Unboxed ones tend to go for £80 or above.

There was a day before 32bit you know
The Mega Drive was 16bit, as was the SNES. The Master System and NES before them were 8bit, and their successors, the Saturn and N64 (and PSX) were 32bit.
There was, however, the 32X expansion for the Mega Drive that was pretty much a complete failure, because the Saturn had just been released so developers focused their attention on that because it obviously had much better hardware than the Mega Drive (the Mega Drives's graphics didn't really take advantage of 32bit processing).

Have to admit, I've never seen one of these before. I read up to 'plays Mega Drive and Mega CD games' and thought, ok, so it's a Mega Drive with a Mega CD attached then, but then looked at the picture! I like it - much more compact than a regular Mega CD. And yes, it can be powered by 2 AA batteries to be used as a portable CD player (can it play games off battery power I wonder?).

N64 was 64 bit, the clue is in the name :whistling:
