#10

#11
ok, how much for just guitardelivered?
#12
Sorry i really want to keep it as a package
#13
you might struggle a bit, as many people might be wanting to buy a second or third guitar and already have an amp (like me), u sure u defo wont split?
#14
What is your offer if i split?
#15
ok i need to know a few things first. Where and when did you buy it? Is it the metallic red model? Is it in complete mint condition with the trem arm? I notice what seems to be a very slight semi circle dent on the headstock of the guitar just at the very top of the headstock in pic 2. is that there or just the pic?
#16
Hi there is no dent to it i have just got it out of the carry bag and there is a tiny scratch, really have to look for it.
Yes the trem bar is with it. It also has the shoulder strap. It doesnt look to me to be metallic red more of a bright patent red. It was bought from an online store that sells musical instruments but i cant remember the name of it. We bought it December 2007 and it hasn't been touched by my son who expected to be able to play without practising.
#17
Hmm. OK then. I would just have been buying the guitar as a customize project (guitar number 8 for me), but it is a bit old and has been sitting for quite some time. It means itll prob need some TLC to get back up to standard. This linked with the scratch and the lack of metallic paint also means its not completely ideal for me.

You would probably find a bit more elsewhere since I dont have a great deal of money to spare but if you are looking for a quick sale I could offer about £35
#18
No thanks i will hold on for a better offer
#19
ok best of luck then
#20
i could be interested but i think £90 is a bit steep as i can get a squire from argos new for £99.99 and can get £10 voucher back atm as well, although i understand no amp, but my little brothers school at the end of the year is changing them and he has already put his name down for one.

But would understand taking as a package, so what is the very best you could do on this delivered then? It would be put away for my brother.
#21
I'll also up my offer to £40. Let me know what you think
#22
I really dont know as its my Sons
If you make me an offer i will ask him
Thanks

well off hand id more then happy to immediately offer £58 thus £50 and parcel2go £8 for delivery.
Especially as i was in a cash convertor shop today and little amps were selling for £10-15 anyways, and sure you'd prefer to get rid of both together as only one lot of postage to spend on.
#24
No i think that is too low
#25
I remember paying around £140 for it so really need to get as much as poss back
#26
the problem is that you can get a brand new 2009 model with amp for about 140. Which means that second hand would be about £90. So since you are selling a 2 year old model it really needs to come down another £20 or so. If you were to take my offer of £40 and get similar for the amp then you would get that amount

fair enough, but like i said £90 technically from argos for the guitar new, and thus will probably be less hassle to get to good working sound, and of course the strings will be in better condition.
Ill up my offer to £63 but thats my limit at the moment im afraid.

PS: did you say it came with the tremolo arm?
#28
Thanks but i think im going to put it on fleabay

:? TLC? Old? Standard?! Jeez, I don't quite know how people can judge the sound of a basic guitar by looking at it in a couple of pictures (you can't). The amp is a cheapy and the guitar is a decent branded basic one, but really, this is just chipping at the guy - it's not worthless, and trying to edge him down because it's not painted with metallic paint is ridiculous.

Sorry I must say I do know what I'm talking about.

Every year Squier make minor changes and improvements to their guitars, so this one is basically 2 models old.

Much like a car, metallic paint is more desirable, and comes as standard for the 2009 red models.

It needs TLC as its been sitting so long, so the strings will have no life, there will prob be a bunch of trapped dust, and due to sitting so long it will definately need a professional setup (costs about £50 at a music shop), in order to get it back up to perfect playing standard.

Add on top of this that the guitar is not mint.

I didnt say the guitar is worthless, if I did then I would not have offered £40 for it.

All of this is true if you wish to research it.
