Hi everyone, :D

I have a FujiFilm Finepix S1000fd digital camera for sale.

10.0 Megapixel
12x Optical Zoom
5x Digital Zoom
Shutter Speed - 8 seconds to 1/2000 seconds
Aperture - F2.8 - F5
Sensitivity - ISO 64, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200
LCD Screen - 2.7 inches
Pop-up Flash
Shooting Modes - Portrait, Landscape, Sport, Night, Fireworks, Sunset, Snow, Beach, Museum, Party, Flower, Text,

It's not a compact camera, it has an SLR style body, but very small and light.

I've upgraded to a Digital SLR so no longer need this.
This is an excellent camera for not being an DSLR. The pictures come out amazing, and the battery life lasts for ages.
I bought it at the end of November 2008, so it's basically new, it hasn't really been used either as I work all day.

I'm looking for £100 o.n.o

Comes in box with cables, manual and shoulder strap, lens cap and Fuji Finepix software cd-rom.

Will post photos if wanted.
Shipping/Payment:
£5 Delivery.
Will be posted with Royal Mail 1st Class/Recorded

Ah thanks for that, didnt realise theyv dropped in price.
So, i guess £95 including delivery now then.
#2
I am interested in this. Just a few questions...

Do you have the receipt?

Will you post first due to your lack of feedback on here?
#3
£95 delivered is still wayy too high when you can get them directly from Fuji WITH a 6month warranty to £87,99 :-)
#4
Yes i have a receipt,

And wouldn't post first sorry, I am aware i dont have feedback on here but i have 100% on ebay but user name is Willz320
#5
Im out then, good luck with the sale.
#6
To be honest sending my camera without payment, isnt exactly a great idea!
#7
No granted, but me sending you £95 with no feedback on here isnt a good idea for me either, and i think you will find that others may feel the same way too.
#8
if Simon_G's 94 Feedback doesn't speak for itself, then you are in the wrong place trying to get someone to trust you.
#9
I guess I'll think again before posting again on here then, just because am new and have no feedback. Am sure other people have had the same situation. I take it ebay feedback doesnt account for anything? Thanks for interest anyway.

Ebay feedback DOES count for something, maybe offer to PM your ebay username and validate it by sending a message through ebay to prove you are the owner of that account, also, with this being of a decent value, would collection be an option?

I can vouch (as someone with 160 positive on here and 340 positive on ebay - both 100%) that i have dealt with simon_g 3 times and its never been anything but a pleasure.

Matt

PS. don't be discouraged and welcome to HUKD!! :)

EDIT, just looked at the ebay feedback and 18 isn't a big feedback for a 3+ year member . . . . . Plus none of the feedbacks are as a seller . . . . .
#11
I'm not saying don't sell here, but just use a bit of trust with those who have traded perfectly, making this a great place to sell and buy. Don't just trust feedback, always get all the details, but just remember some of us on here are genuine. Send first this time and then forever more be one of the good traders on here

bit harsh to compare his camera to the one on the fuji site at £87 as those are refurb models which have had faults on them and been repaired.

this camera is currently £129.99 in asda so i would say the £100 was a reasonably good price for a non-refurb camera

refurbs come with 6 month warranty

also some are just returns no actual faults

his cam is not new neither are the refurbs so seems a pretty good comparison imho

Own a refurbished Fujifilm FinePix digital camera at a substantially reduced price.

From time to time, limited quantities of Fujifilm digital cameras are returned to us by UK retailers. Every camera that is returned in this way is extensively inspected and tested by Fujifilm trained technicians. Please note that refurbished FinePix digital cameras may contain minor scratches or blemishes that in no way impair camera operation.

Our refurbished cameras are supplied with the same full box contents as our brand new models along with a 6 months warranty covering any failure that occurs due to a manufacturing defect (excluding cosmetic blemishes)

Refurbished cameras can be purchased from some of our high street retail partners or from the Fujifilm shop.

they are hardly going to advertise that the camera has been faulty tho, people would be a bit iffy about buying something they know has been broken before so its easy to cover up by saying its catalogue & shop returns....remember however, shops (such as argos for example) only accept returns on electrical goods if they are faulty ;)

this is the one thing i hate about this site is that folk hound people into trying to sell items for a massive knockdown when the item they compare to is not like for like...an "as new" item is in no way comparable to a "refurb"

The seller only bought the camera in November 08 and has said its hardly been used due to work commitments so to compare his camera to one thats been returned to fuji due a concern with it is wrong IMO

the s1000fd is the current model on sale at argos, asda etc and sells for £129+ and on ebay for £100 + postage too as a used item.

no worries, its the way these kinda companies do business these days...they will tell you the 30 day thing and let you think it covers everything but there are that many get out's its unreal.

just means that anyone buying these camera's from fuji just now are buying faulty returns until they release a new model to replace that one.
#27
i would guess they have to repair them before selling on

yeah they would, but i'd imagine selling something thats been repaired and they admit was faulty before wouldn't sell as quickly as the way its described on the fuji site to sell them just now because they fly out of that shop because folk think they are getting a stock return from a shop when really its unlikely to be that.

i just don't see how the price of a refurb can be compared to a non-refurb as is the case in this listing..if you get what i mean, cos they aren't in the same condition as one is a repaired camera, the other is a hardly used as new camera - you pay less for the refurb because its been broken & fixed and take the risk that its going to break again
#29
Sorry but people have bought the refurbs loads - they're fine. And a better deal. He needs to reduce the price! warranty is warranty, whatever way you look at it.
#30
if the camera was bought in november you get a longer warranty (if the seller can provide proof then theres a 12 month warranty with the camera as standard) and a nearly new camera, not one thats had a fault fixed on it and sent out potentially with scratches or marks on it as described on the fuji site

i'd say to sell the camera on ebay because you'll get closer to your £100 price than on here as, has been the case with this site the prices are pushed down by people with no interest in buying stuff in the first place....when i say pushed its more the sellers having their prices shouted down
