HP NX8220 Centrino Business Notebook for sale - in excellent condition and well looked after (around 2.5 years old). Comes in original box with all user manuals and operating system/ software disks.

This laptop is light (2.8kg) and thin - it comes with Windows XP Pro, 1.7ghz Intel Centrino Processor, 512mb DDR2 (400MHZ) RAM, 60GB hard drive, 54g Wifi and Bluetooth built-in, DVDRW drive, SD/ MMC media card slot, Firewire, 3 * USB ports, VGA out port for dual display (via its ATi Radeon X300 64mb graphics adaptor), Speakers & Mic built-in.

Being sold due to getting a new laptop at work.

Please Note: The machine does sometimes "freeze" - I am sure this could be solved by a competent IT person/ techie if needed.

I can also include the secondary HP travel battery I have - which is hardly used (it fits underneath the laptop, and works in tandem with the laptop battery) - which is worth £90 new ( .

This laptop is light (2.8kg) and thin.

Also, all offers must be posted here & not via PM or email.
Price and Pics would be nice :)
Here are some photos for you!

The screen is a 15.4" Widescreen display (with no dead pixels). The Graphics Adaptor on the Laptop is an ATi X600 (64MB RAM). The laptop also has a built-in ethernet adaptor, and also the USB ports are USB2.0. Battery running time of the laptop is circa 2.5 to 3 hours using the standard 8-cell battery (or 4 hours using a brand-new battery).

I am looking for £220 (or the nearest offer) including delivery (Royal Mail Insured Standard Parcels) - this includes all disks, all manuals and also the (hardly used!) HP Travel Battery which is worth £90 new.

If you have any questions, then please drop me a line.

Regards, Rob
looking at them screenshots, the majority oif the usbs on the laptop do not work? they are bent and missing the black bit >.< correct assumption? aside from that, the crashes, have you tried previously to reinstall windows? also whats the charge like?
In response to the previous post (and assumption that the USB ports do not work or are indeed broke) - I can guarantee you 110% that the USB ports work and are indeed not bent or with any parts missing - I am an IT Manager in a large organisation (but moreso am an honest person) and obviously someone without an appreciation of laptop computer hardware should be careful to make such comments!

I have a Tomtom One, Ipod Nano, USB Mouse and other devices which use the USB ports regularly without any problem.

I have not re-installed Windows/ re-partitioned the hard disk, as I have plenty of work to shift of the laptop before I sell!

3alevels i it and an honours degree... >.<
Dear Anony-X,

Have you any valid points to make about the laptop? Otherwise, I would rather that you leave decent folk here to trade instead of obviously causing unnecessary bad-feeling on the forum.

I am not going to get involved in having to justify my own academic qualifications/ technical competence (whether undergraduate or postgraduate or certified engineer qualifications) in order to sell my laptop!

bonkersrob. If you look at the pictures from which you posted, the usbs just look a little messed up. I was not calling you out in the slightest i was merely inquiring into whether they were or were not working. Again, i was not trying to cause trouble but merely asking about them.

Sorry for any confusion, as for the grades, they were merely meant to reflect that i am infact perfectly qualified to comment on laptop hardware.

On a side note:

that is what i was referring to, if you say they work then fine, they work, but that image simply suggested they were bent, im sure its the lighting or whatnot?
Dear Anony-X,

Many thanks for your message, and your comments.

Looking at the photo there, the angle I took the photo at does not actually show the black plastic parts of the USB ports (they are not shown very well, and are hidden due to the shadow caused by the camera flash!). The internal metal surround within the USB ports is spot-on, and have no bends/ loose contacts - they all work fine.

nice laptop mate.

if i had a spare £200 i would have it.

it might just need the fan & that cleaning out to stop the lock ups.
cheap option or try new mem or a cpu next... .

& yes i am a I.T support enginner too ;-).

I may well be interested in this, do you have an Ebay ID or feedback elsewhere?

You still interested in selling this?

I can offer £190 delivered for this laptop
