Hello all,

Was given this as a bonus at work, have had it a month but really don't get on with Apple OS X!

This is the brand newest MBP model, with just under 3 years applecare, specs as follows:

13-inch: 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
4GB Memory
250GB hard drive
SD card slot
Built-in battery (10 hours)
NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics

It's obviously all fully boxed and in A++++ condition.

I just entered the serial into the online checker and it's only showing 11 months warranty - but I have also just phoned Apple and they confirmed it's got 35 months remaining. They said they'd get this updated but I can always provide serial number to potential buyer so you can call them yourself :D

Shipping/Payment:
I would prefer a collection from St Albans, Hertfordshire (M25 j22-21a, M1 j7-9) however I would be willing to send at buyers expense (after money has fully cleared).

Payment ideally cash, but would also accept bank transfer and paypal gift (would need to clear before collection)
Location:
St Albans, Hertfordshire

Have you got the receipt ? I know it is a bonus from work but that could be a reason to cover up if you have purchase through Apple HE store , which is only £834ish with 3 years warranty

The only thing you can prove this is take a picture from Apple Repair service website to shows the Warranty status ! If it was through HE purchase, I will be able to tell it.

I have asked because I am interested

Edit: I have just seen this
just entered the serial into the online checker and it's only showing 11 months warranty - but I have also just phoned Apple and they confirmed it's got 35 months remaining. I am pretty sure that this is a purchase through Apple Education store, as it does take at least 2-3 weeks for Apple to manually update the Higher Education purchase to go through, if you bought Apple Care separately, it will be auto-enrolled in 48 hours

Hi heovang, I don't have a receipt, but can ask my company tomorrow. I don't see how it can be a HE store purchase as it was provided by work, and that's a large FTSE 100 company, nothing to do with education :-)

I can provide you with the serial number and you can check the Apple Repair Service website yourself if you want - it's still showing 11 months (this would automatically be showing 35 if it had been bought from HE store - so that goes further to show it's not!). I am not sure why the warranty isn't showing on there - but i can give you a freephone number to call Apple and they will confirm its a 35 month warranty remaining :-) The company specifically said they'd got extra protection, but will enquire further tomorrow.

Also I am confused as to how it can be as cheap as you've said, a quick google suggests only a £40-50 discount on these via HE store?

http://store.apple.com/uk-edu/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?mco=MTM3NjU5MzU

I assume the 3 year warranty is worth £160 or whatever apple charge? :-) Let me know if you're interested!

Hi I am interested, I can only tell if it is purchase through HE or not only when the warranty has been updated.

I will keep checking on this thread as I prefer to see it is updated rather than asking through the phone.

Thanks

No worries, I will call them again to chase this up! I will also ask the company tomorrow - but rest assured, a quick free call to Apple confirms the 35 months remaining warranty :)

Bump 1

Can you confirm A1 condition, no scratches at all, virtually as new?
#9
HI yes 100% A+++++ condition, no scratches, as new!
#10
if i were to collect whats your best price?
#11
Hmm i would be willing to move a little on the price, but considering it's got 3 years warranty and is as new, it wouldn't be much. £950 is best price i can do right now.

But with EPP or student discount, isn't it cheaper to buy a new one??

EPP? What is that?

Yes technically if you were a student, on a university network, you could get this cheaper (circa £860 apparently, although I couldn't see it for less than £960), however unless you fall into that category this is a £1000 laptop, plus a £160 warranty extension = £1160 laptop for £210 cheaper...

Hello all,

This is now showing as:

Repairs and Service Coverage: Active
Estimated Expiration Date: September 13, 2013

So Apple has sorted it, and the thing now shows that onClick the warranty is until Sept 2013!
