sorry, but that is a weird question lol, I've never heard any noise coming from these personally, but I don't think I've ever heard a noise coming from any powerline adapters I've had, these were used behind television and tables. and from a metre away I didn't hear any noises coming from it.

Is that a known issue with powerline adapters?

No worries mate, I've got a couple of TP-Links and when everything is powered off (except for them) they will make a slight electrical whine.

ahh i see, if you look above on the box it says

Extra Noise filtered power outlet,so not sure if that is meant to minimise or deal with that.
