FOR SALE - o2 iPhone PAYG sim card with £10 credit + unlimited web/Wifi browsing £40.00

Just bought a new 3G iPhone and have no need for this. The number on the sim card is (not a bad number actually!) and it is sealed and unused.

Comes with £10 credit preloaded on it and has 12 months of free unlimited web and Wifi browsing on it too.

Am basing my price on what I have seen 3 or 4 go on eBay over the last few days. Please let me know if this is not acceptable/allowed and I shall remove it from sale.

If you have any questions then please post below! Payment is to be made via BT if possible

£40 for a single SIM card?? I must be missing something here...

Details here:
http://www.o2.co.uk/iphone/paygo

The seller will need to activate the sim card, or so it says. I wonder if the sim card is then web locked to the phone's IMEI number?

Here's the text from O2 :

This also includes unlimited browsing and Wi-Fi for the first 12 months after you activate your iPhone 3G*. At the end of the 12 months you can continue to receive unlimited browsing and Wi-Fi for just £10 per month. We'll notify you before the end of the 12 month period by text and you can easily unsubscribe if you choose to do so.

If you went into the link posted above you'd see this:

As has been said above! I think you can only use these with the latest 3G iPhones but I may be wrong. Sim card would need to be activated and used in the iPhone to make use of the free web/wifi browsing plus mins.

On a normal contract these are two separate bolt-ons each costing £7.50 per month - so in effect the unlimited web/wifi browsing element would cost you £180 for the 12 momnths plus you get an extra £10 credit! :)

I would take the number off the post - as not so many people will want a number that lots of people have seen!
#8
Ok good point, just thought it might be an idea to show it. MODS - can you please delete the number from my opening post?

If anyone would like to see the number beforehand then just PM me :)

Just called o2 Customer services (0870 607 2302) - you can use the unlimited wifi on another phone, but you would not be able to use The Cloud or Openzone as they would be linked to the MAC address of the iphone.

Shame, as otherwise would have been interested.
#10
I was told that you can use both the web browsing and the Wifi anywhere on any phone!

If what you say is true, the web browsing still applies along with the £10 credit :)

Tenner?

That is true, which makes it good value for some people. I already have a web bolt on for my XDA, so I was more interested in it if I could use The Cloud etc.

If anyone is actually contemplating this, I purchased the very same PaynGo sim card BY ITSELF (ie without an iphone) from O2 themselves for £10 with £10 worth of credit.

If you ask nicely, they will sell it to you seperate.

What with unlimited data?

Doubt it somehow

Keeping doubting. I'm using it right now on my iPhone.

Why would I lie about it?

If you can activate it first - worth £20 to me?
#18
I may be willing to accept offers on the £40 asking price, but nothing silly. I have priced it according to its worth so I think it is a fair price as it is :)

There is no point me activating it as I have my contract sim card in my iPhone as it is - the sim card is sold as brand new and sealed
#19
Well, the web bolt-on is £7.50 a month. So how we can be debating the worth of the OPs sale quite frankly confuses me. Unlimited data at £40 for a year, plus a tenner credit thrown in??? Jeez.

Lots would, to get it for nowt. It does help that you are a home bb and simplicity customer, wouldnt you say?

I'm not actually. Haven't had an O2 phone since 2000. So get your facts right.

It actually says:
"Home Broadband plus Simplicity SIM with 200 minutes & 200 texts from £22.50 a month. Terms and conditions apply"

Now, just to clarify for you: I purchased the sim BY ITSELF with the unlimited browsing for £10 without any loyalty scheme/bribe/kidnap of family members.

Anything else you wanna pick out?
#22
Just testing :)
So O2 are freely giving out yearly, unlimited data, payg sims to all-comers for total purchase price of £10 payg credit (a 90% discount)? What is the phone no. please, i'll take one.

Surely if it's not activated in an Iphone it won't work. As I don't have an Iphone I can't use the SIM?

I'm not sure about the particulars of activation for the sim card. All that I know is what I've stated in my opening post - if anyone can verify if it needs activation first then I would be happy to do this once an offer has been agreed on
#25
I've taken it out of the wrapper and the sim number is no different to my partner's PAYG o2 sim number - and she doesn't have an iPhone! Still open to offers :)

Bit late for that now. Looks as though the whole world has the number. :whistling:
#27
Well I don't think it's a major problem, the whole world hasn't viewed this thread! Have now reported it
#28
Can't believe that there is not more interest in this - am willing to review offers on my asking price! :)
#29
I'll offer you £25
thanks
