FOR SALE - ROCK BAND GAME PLUS INSTRUMENTS (PS3) £200.00

I have in my possession Rock Band for the PlayStation3, plus two wireless guitar controllers, a drum controller complete with bass pedal and a microphone - all in very good condition.

I have only played the game a handful of times since importing it from the USA - hence it is in very good condition, virtually unttouched in its original box. The game and controllers will work on ANY PlayStation3 and you can also still download the online content from the PlayStation Store thingy.

I'm looking for a total of £200 and thats INCLUDING the additional wireless guitar controller. I will need to find out some more information on postage as its very heavy, that cost will have to be on top of the asking price. If you want something separately then I may be tempted to split the package if the offer is good enough.

Cheers!

Hi,

Please could you confirm if you have tried to download content from the US PlayStation Store to use with the imported game and, if so, which method you used to pay for the content?

Thanks.

Do you have any photos of the actual items for sale, and would you be open to collection from you? Where are you located?

BFN,

fp.

Fanpages, I have it and I can download off the US Store fine! You need to set up a card called Entropay by Visa its easy to use, just like an Online only debit card. :)

Thanks... I thought as much.

Doesn't buying the US version limit you to just the tracks available on the US Store?

That is, when the UK edition is available you will not be able to download the UK tracks.

Although buying the imported version allows you to play the game months in advance, the selection is extra tracks in the US are, of course, tailored for a US audience. A UK buyer may not have any interest in US tracks they do not know.

Available over the last two weeks on the US Store, for instance:

* "Date with the Night" - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - 1.99 USDs
* "It Hurts" - Angels & Airwaves - 1.99 USDs
* "This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race" - Fall Out Boy - 1.99 USDs

* “Beetlebum” - Blur ($1.99)
* “Countdown to Insanity” - H-BlockX ($1.99)
* “Hier Kommt Alex” - Die Toten Hosen ($1.99)
* “Hysteria” - Muse ($1.99)
* “Manu Chao” - Les Wampas ($1.99)
* “Monsoon” - Tokio Hotel ($1.99)
* “New Wave” - Pleymo ($1.99)
* “Perfekte Welle” - Juli ($1.99)
* “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star” - Oasis ($1.99)

If UK Indie/Brit pop & German punk are not to your liking, then there's not really anyone worth mentioning.

Have you seen any UK Rock tracks available?

BFN,

fp.

Hi all, sorry for the delay in replying but I've been away for the whole weekend! I'll try to answer questions as I've seen them:

@ bigbob909 - that is for the Xbox 360 version, I am selling the PlayStation3 version!

@ Rainbow Dave - might be tempted to split the bundle if I don't get any offers for the lot

@ leeredgie - see comment to bigbob909 above

@ fanpages (post 11) - I haven't downloaded any DLC from the PSN store although this can easily be done using an Amercian virtual credit card (called Entropay) which in principal is similar to a PayPal account. I am based in Bristol and would prefer cash on collection, I can take some photos if you require - just let me know!

@ fanpages (post 13) - The majority of the US tracks available as DLC are major tracks that are familiar to most people including tracks from bands like Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Oasis, Aerosmith, Metallica, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, etc, etc. When the UK version comes out for the PlayStation3 you can just buy the UK version of the game (the controllers can be used for any version) and can then download the UK DLC.

@ Snare - as mentioned previously - if I don't get any offers for the bundle as a whole then I will entertain offers for split items

Thank you.

Bristol is perhaps a little too far to travel as I would be spending at least £70 in petrol to get there & back (due to the excessively stupidly large capacity engines I have in my vehicles).

For now, unless anybody else requests the same, please do not take any photos... but I appreciate your offer.

BFN,

fp.

No worries fanpages, thanks for letting me know!! Would you still be interested if I was to get a quote for postage?

PlayStation3 version has not been released in the UK as of yet, not sure when the anticipated release date is either!

HMV's web site is listing 26 September 2008 for the release of the PS3 "Rock Band" (Solus) game.

So, going off Sony's track record [did you see what I did there?], the kit will either be on sale in August, or December :)

£200 + postage is way too much for me, I'm afraid, especially if the equipment breaks as it would not be under warranty & I'd have to buy it again (and then the UK game edition again upon release here).

But thanks anyway.

Ok mate no problem. If under some rare occurrence the hardware does break, then EA have announced that they will repair/replace the item for no charge - there was a big leaflet inside the package stating the information. You can return it to any number of EA offices throughout the world.

Last bump if anyone is interested?
