For Sale: Solid 9ct Gold Mens Curb Bracelet - 62grams weighed

It is a 2oz chunk of solid 9ct, 21cm from end to end, and when you wear it you do know it.
I have highlighted the official UK hallmark, which whilst not readable is clearly visable. It has three hallmarks in total, one on the clasp and two on the bracelet. A beautiful curb bracelet for the discerning gentleman, or a beautiful present for a special one (no Mourinho jokes please!). The closest I can find to it, on Argos, retails at £399.

I'll accept £250 ono, and it is worth every penny IMO. If you value your image, you'll value this item for those special nights out on the town. I would like payment by bank transfer.
It comes with a nice blue case and i'll post by Royal Mail special delivery.

Yep, gold is on a high at the moment. I just need to raise some funds for my MOT in January, plus I wanna get a runabout scooter also. Petrol is so expensive when you drive a 1.6si LOL

£180 here

Hmmm ... can you go a little higher? £70 is quite a steep drop.
I can say for sure that I can't go under £2xx, as my price includes special delivery in the UK, so if you can go to at least two big'uns then we may be able to deal providing there are no bigger offers in the next 48 hours.
Thanks banker, that's a very reasonable starting offer :)
But ... no deal.

Come on guys.
£290 worth of gold at current rate, for a mere £200. It's a no brainer surely. Unless you want it for nowt of course ... and that ain't gonna happen ;-)

I work in a pawn shop on weekends and if you came in with that bracelet i would only offer you £160 with its weight at 2oz so the best i would offer on here is £170 delivered.
#12
have you been in a jewellers to enquire about how much they would give you for it?.

you should get at least £195
http://www.auctionpost.co.uk/ buys at £3.15 per gram for 9ct (31 grams per ounce =62 grams x £3.15 = £195.30)

I'm merely going on what dudedude said earlier in the thread.
I'm not a speculator, but dudedude seems to know what it's worth.

£383/ounce for "pure" gold which 9-carat is not hence £290

Probably (£383 x 2) / 24 x 9 = £287

I'm lost, i'm outta here:oops:

On my calculation 24k is pure so 9K is 37.5% pure
so if you say pure is £383 an ounce then 9k is £144/ounce
so 2 oz would be worth £288
You would then allow for the workmanship so ................

This is of course based on purchasing from a recognised jewler.

Once you take into account you are buying on an "internet forum"
and it is "second hand" and without a "reciept" and without "handling"
then the price starts to fall in line!!

You see our "colonial cousins" selling things that look real on the front at Tenerife everyday !!:whistling:

Oh yes, I agree. We had one of those stalls parked outside of the Regency Club in Puerto Colon last time I was there. And all those 7ft tall Algerians selling fake Rolex and Cartier watches, and those little chinese people selling those silly twirley things too ;-)
As for the bracelet, then if we agree that it has at least £200 worth of shiny stuff in it and it sells at Argos for double this price, then i'm sticking :)
As to it's authenticity, I can no more than guarantee it. I guarantee the quality of all my stuff. If it isn't solid 9k, i'll gladly take it back for a refund.
#20
Never mind. I'll put it on ebay and get what it's worth.

Hi mate, i can offer 170
#22
Sorry Ibz, £200 is the lowest I can go. That includes next day delivery.
Let me know if you are interested :)
#23
I'll meet you half way if you are still interested Ibz. £185 delivered.
My last offer, it's too good to give away.
#24
Right would you be interested in doing a trade with cash?
I have had a route through some things i have in my computer desk draw and will offer them to you plus cash i have 3 x new 2 gig sony memory stick pro duo with adapters no boxes, 1 x brand new astratec freeview box with topup tv card for setanta sports with 1 month free no contract, and i would also offer £100 cash on top and deliver the items and cash special delivery.
#25
Regarding the freeview box, I get a rubbish freeview signal. So I have Sky+ with Setanta. The MSPD cards are not really any use to me i'm afraid.
Regarding the cash payment. I couldn't advocate a cash payment, I just don't trust RM enough atm. Apart from which, too much risk for the buyer. You don't know me from Jack, really.
I'll offer you the same deal that you first came to me with, £180 by BT, as Christmas is fast approaching and i'm feeling generous. You are saving money on the postage that way too. If you pay cash over the counter at any Barclays, i'll get it immediately and post it to you asap by Special Delivery. Let me know either way, thanks.
#26
ill offer 175 by BT if your interested , i can have it done today , this would be based on it being in good condition and being the same as the argos bracelet , can you confirm this ? cheers

I really would like to be more accomodating, but i've already come down from £250. I will do £179 by BT to show willing, if you can make payment by tomorrow izz. The bracelet is the same weight as the Argos one, and it is a curb one just like Argos one. The clasp is a slightly different design, the argos one looks like a bendy one and this one is fixed to the first link, but apart from that it's much the same item. I can tell you that I paid £349 for it a couple of years ago, so i'm selling at albeit half price once postage is taken into account.
#28
Are you holding out on me for the sake of a silly little £4 izz?
I've dropped my starting price by £71, so fair is fair.
#29
i may pay £179- for this money in paypal waiting ok

Sorry dude, that price is for bank transfer. Fees are far too much on Paypal, and from what i've read it isn't as secure, from a seller's perspective, as what i'd like. I can't take the risk on such a high value item.
Don't worry Fabrizio, I can be trusted to carry out my end of the bargain if you pay by BT :-)
#31
will you send me your name address and telephone number so i can talk to you by private message please
#32
Sorry Fabrizio, izzzzythedog has now pledged to buy the item for the £179 asking, via BT. Awaiting payment.
Thanks izzzzy.
Thread is now closed, pending payment. Izzzzythedog has not posted as he couldn't find the thread, hence the delay in reply.

Payment received, item dispatched and buyer happy with purchase.
Thanks for the custom izzzzy, i'll leave fb now
