For Sale: Sony VGN-FZ21E Laptop £175.00

Sony Vaio Laptop
Model VGN-FZ21E
2 GHZ Intel Core Duo Processor
2GB SDRAM
160GB Hard Drive
NVIDIA Geforce 8400M GT CPU
15.4" HD Capable screen

Laptop is NOT in working order, details; Laptop turns on and gets to the screen just before Windows. I tried rebooting system, and during the middle of restoring to default the laptop highlighted an error, so it does not have an operating system installed. I have tried restoring again to no success. I am not a computer expert but I am sure there are people out there who can reinstall windows without a problem.

The laptop also needs a new battery. It works fine plugged in to mains but doesn't last 20 minutes when operating on battery. I also replaced the keyboard a few months ago which happens to be a US version, thus 2 keys are the wrong way around.

Hopefully I have highlighted the current condition of the laptop. It is 2 years old and when working is very good. Cost £700 new.

See pictures.

Price is £175 delivered ONO.

Hi If it is a Graphics card error...Sony fix this for free...I got one fixed for free...Can give you more details if required...
suspended#4
its not a graphics card problem its s simple software problem. As your no computer expert your better of buying a new HDD and install a fresh os on there
#5
Why Don't you post more pictures...so People here can help to fix the computer...in my openion this machine is worth more than the price you are asking if you got a new battery...With a dead battery it's not worth the price...

hi,
i was just wondering if you are restoring you laptop with cd/dvd or are you using the f10 method? using f10 should give you the option to delete the partition and do a fresh restore.

(Start your Vaio and when you see the Vaio logo screen press F10 repeatedly this normally would start the recovery process)
if your going to turn it on to get the error message, try this as it might help and get the laptop working again
good luck

Error message appeared during restore, cant remember what it said. Just that it failed I believe. I restored using f10 method. Will take picture of screen in current state later.

Would not be willing to send first, specifically with people with less feedback than myself.

Thanks for offer, thinking about actually fixing it as it is worth a lot more than even asking price, and as your offer isnt asking price I think I will say no.
