I am selling my mums laptop as it has developed a fault and will not boot and she don't want to claim off insurance so asked me to sell it. The laptop is about 18 months old and stopped working a few weeks ago, it has been looked at but been told it is beyond economical repair. This has been looked after whist she had it, the screen is in perfect order but am unable to display this as it will not boot.

The fault.
When you power the laptop the fan runs and appears to be ok then there is a click and it sort of cycles for a few seconds and this is it.

** PLEASE NOTE ** I have taken the hard drive out to use as an external 80gb drive and also the ram has been taken out also. The processor did writer and all other bits are complete and as i said the screen is in perfect condition

I think my mum still has the box for it so can ship it with all the original stuff that came with it if that is the case as she is a bit of a hoarder.

Here is the link to Toshiba for the spec:

I have taken the following images-

I am looking for £85 plus P&P as the screen alone on ebay are going for £65 plus.

not trying to spoil thread or anything but i had a laptop that had similar issues and after searching the net for a resolution i found that a fault like that means your graphics card is shot, usually you have to replace the whole motherboard to replace the gpu:thumbsup:
Thanks for the comment mate, i understand what you are saying. If that is the case it would still be a good price as if someone needs a screen they also will have the whole case which is unmarked and also the processor which could probably be sold on.
