For Sale/Trade: 1GB ddr400 pc3200 ram stick (might be faulty) £7.50

I have a stick of 1gb pc3200 ddr400 for sale or trade, but i am not 100% sure if it functions perfectly, i tried upgrading my pc and although the bios read the upgrade correctly (from 1gb to 2gb) my system became unstable so i took it out and the pc is fine.

im not sure why this happened, could be a faulty ram stick so it is reflected in the price.

thanks

50p delivery

Run a program called MEMTEST, that'll tell you if it's faulty.

I'd be happy to take it and pay if it works in my system - if it doesn't I'll return it. How about that?

i'd be happy with that, but i won't incure your return postage fees, would that be fine? just want to make it clear before sale.

if you agree pm me,

thanks

Yes, that's fine, and I wouldn't expect you to. You still have my address or do you need it again?

Yes, that's a fair price - although I'd like a couple of days to let it run in the system to see if there are probs. What's the make btw? and pls send in an anti-static bag if you have one and some stiff cardboard or something to protect

Sorry - after a quick chat by PM, I've decided not to take the RAM after all. A bit too risky. Sorry for wasting time

Btw - I can confirm the RAM is faulty.

All seemed well for about 5 minutes and then I got a blue screen and shutdown. PC then wouldn't start. removed the RAM and it was fine .... Oh well.
