A few questions:
Does this come with the original box, manuals, discs?
Does the screen have any scratches / dead pixels?
Is the case in good condition and is there much wear or any scratches?
How long have you owned it?

I'm interested in this, but would need to see some good photos before making a decision. Just so you know, replacing the optical drive on a powerbook isn't easy - takes a fair bit of technical knowledge and whoever buys this will obviously have to pay out for a new optical drive as well

Also are the hinges attaching the body to display stable?

Are there any major decoloration on the laptop?

And is there keypad backlight?

I take it that battery is also old, and will require a new one?

So all in all, it's got a fair few problems

A new dvd drive costs between £40 - £50 on ebay. A new battery will be at least £40. Plus it's got a blown RAM slot (unfixable as far as I know), cosmetic damage, no box, no discs... hmmmmm

Are you basically offering just the laptop and a power supply cable, that's it?

I'd consider making you an offer, but I'm also a bit concerned that it's taken you so long to reply. If someone arranged a deal with you and sent you the money how long would it take you to send the item?
#12
as soon as i recieve the cash will send it .. sorry .. totally forgot i made the thread .. but bac on track now ,..... the laptop and the tiger disk and few little papers

whats the offer that you are going to make.,...
#16
ok, well considering it needs about £100 spent on it to get it working properly, my max offer would be £150 delivered (you could send it for about £9 with parcel2go or p4d.co.uk).
#17
lowest im going yet is 190 delivered.... even tho 100 pound spent on it can still make another 100 pound profit...
#18
Unfortunately mate, even if it was all fixed it wouldn't sell for £390 (like you're suggesting) with a blown RAM slot, no box, cosmetic damage etc.

Noone would pay almost £400 for this when they can get a brand new Macbook for £600 from Apple.

Plus you're forgetting about all the time and effort required to fix this one properly. I'll leave my offer with you, but I honestly think you'll be very lucky to get that much for it
#19
ill do it for 180 delivered .. come on you no its worth it ....

it will still sell over the 300 mark when fixed so in the end profit will still be made...
#20
trouble is, I wouldn't be trying to sell it for a profit as my sisters G3 imac is on it's last legs and she needs a new comp so I'd be buying it for her. I think my offer is really quite fair, but I'd be willing to go to £160 delivered, that way you'll have £150 after delivery costs.
#21
sorry 180 lowest .... ABSOLUTLY NO GOING LOWER...
#22
just looking at the pics more closely, has it got quite a bad dent in the back as well?

Can you answer this please?

Also have you given any more thought to my offer - I'd like to know whether we can arrange a deal, otherwise I'll look elsewhere
#24
the dent on the back can only be seen when the laptop is closed .. it isnt what bad tbh .... no not budging yet ,..
#25
