OK, finally selling my 120 bass full-size accordion...
Took it for a check-up at Geoff Holter Accordions (http://www.geoffholteraccordions.co.uk/) in Darlington, to make sure it was OK to sell on :) I'll detail everything that he said, so as to make sure everyone is fully aware of the condition:
It's from the 1950's and was made in what was East Germany. It's a Sorrento Accordion, and in cosmetically good condition. The straps and carry-case, however, are very worn, but still do what they are designed to do :)
It is fully working, and in tune.
The bellows are in excellent condition, and show excellent compression.
The 11 treble registers (voices) all are fully working, however, they have been greased at some point, and so are a little stiff to press. Geoff advised that someone may want to have these de-greased, although they are fully working :)
The 2 bass registers (voices) are not working, as they have been disabled - they've been fixed into place for one of the tones. They can be fixed back up by an accordion repairer, however, all it means is that there is only one tone to the bass, rather than 3.
All keys and bass buttons are fully working.
I am looking for around £200 for this, although I am open to offers.
Please see post #1 and #2 for photos.
Will only advertise this on here for the next day or two, before trying elsewhere.
Payment via Paypal / Bank Transfer / Cash on Collection.
I am happy for the buyer to collect (from Stockton-on-Tees area - North East); or I can arrange courier at the buyer's expense - cost to be determined later.
