Mine too

My friend bought one directly from sky and it only cost £10 so maybe £12 is a bit high?
#4
and plus for a few quid more u can get a freeview box? aint this the same?
#5
Practically speaking, i thought sky cards were "married" to the box, so they can't work on another box?

Sky don't like you selling the cards they belong to Sky, mine got pulled off ebay (twice:whistling:)
The cards do I think give you some additional channels, or at least they used to, ie channel 5 etc that you didn't used to get without the card, furthermore, I believe that they can expire.

should take 4 years if not more to expire
also freeview and sky freesat are no where near the same
this card in a sky box will get u loads more channels then freeview does
these cards used to go for £30+ and im not sure if sky do sell these card's for £10 i no they sell card duplicates for £10 never new they sold the freesat card for £10

Why would you buy a duplicate? If you lost yours? Does that mean the old one gets invalidated or could I apply for a duplicate and just use it to watch Freeview in an old box?

im geussing a duplicate would be cos your ruined or lost your card id be suprised if u could have 2 cards from the same account @ one time

I've got a feeling that these will be useless after this year - Sky last changed the cards in 2003, and before that in 1998. There's a good chance that they will be issuing replacements for these (providing you had them direct from SKY) this year.

The card is 'paired' to the box, but a quick call to SKY can get it 're-paired' to a different box.

Sky do do these cards to anyone that asks for one for £10. My friend was going to get freesat but instead got a cheap box for £20 and a card for £10 from sky (house already had a dish from previous tenant) and a friend to fix it all up for her and she was away.

When i left Sky.Sky just told me to keep my current card so i could view the channels. However i cannot view channels like E4.Would this card enable to view E4?
