Sadly my Ps3 has died on me. I would describe it as in really good condition except for the YLOD. It turns on, there is a green light then a quick yellow light then flashing red with 3 beeps. It would be ideal for parts or for a budding engineer to fix. I've had from new. What you will get is the original box, YLOD Ps3, Power cable. Would someone to pick up with payment in cash. This saves on postage costs and the whole post first thing pularver.

I am in east london and around lakeside alot

Forgot to add, the seal is not intact.. I decided to open it up as the warranty was gone.

Get an exchange from Sony for £131 . You would get more than that for it if you still wanted to sell it .
A mate gave me a broken PS3 [FAT] 40GB , I rang Sony , all they wanted was the serial , did'nt ask if it had the seal was broken [it wasn't] and £131. This was on the Thursday , by Friday I got a exchange model delivered with a warranty .The courier scanned the serial off my old one and swopped them , that was it .

That is another option. But to be honest i'm not a big fan of the fat ps3 anymore. I want to get a slim with a warranty that is more than 90 days. Yea i could selll the refurbished one from sony, but i would have to sell it for more than £180 less fees to give me more than £50 profit.. There is a place repairing YLOD in chingford for £65 i may try that and then exchange it and trade it in in gamestation. But to be honest this is the simpler hasstle free option

So no one is interested.. I thought £50 for a YLOD Ps3 is a fair price

If you had not broken the warranty seal then it would probably be of interest to more parties.

You may do better splitting up the console into major component parts (e.g. Blu-ray Drive, USB ports, Memory Card ports, Power Supply Unit) & selling on eBay (or similar) to individuals who may be looking to fix their own console.

Also, do you have the original box? These can sell for figures up to £30 on their own.

BFN,

fp.

For the sake of £5 i could do that if no one else comes up with a better offer.
