Putting my Alliunium Macbook up for trade. Want a high spec PC with a monitor im going to be picky though so it has to be a very good PC. Including a Monitor.

Macbook is in excellent condition Has around 10 months warranty left. This is manufacture warranty as its only about 2 months since i purchased it brand new.

Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
160GB hard drive.
13.3ins glossy widescreen TFT display
NVidia GeForce 9400M graphics with 256MB dedicated memory.

Comes with Leopard installed iLife 09. All discs in perfect condition. Also includes a case. As pictured.

Everything is boxed. With the box in perfect condition.

Reason for trade tbh i got rid of all my windows based stuff except for a server and media centre. Although i like the Macbook Im not really using it with the new baby here. Plus the fact the wife has one aswell. Also im getting a 24 iMac in October after i sold my 20 one, and i found after having the iMac i rarely used the Macbook.

Priced at £800 for rules only I dont want to sell only looking for trade for a PC.

Looking for something with a better GFX card and slightly better CPU. Also really wanted it to be 4GB and possibly DDR3.

Hi,
just thought id give you a heads up- you have no chance of getting £800 for this. I know you've only priced it at that for the rules, but it's actually only worth about £650. The new ones are only £900 now, and only £770 on education AND you'd get a free ipod and printer if you're a student. I've just sold a model like yours, boxed, warranty til feb, immaculate condition for £655 inc postage, and I reckon I got a good price on it.

The 2nd hand price of these took a big hit after apple released higher spec models, with added features while LOWERING their price.

For £100 more than your price, you'd get a brand new one, with faster processor, firewire, SD card slot, 7 hour battery, a backlit keyboard, and a better quality screen.

Will: As you said, and i pointed out on OP. It's 'priced for rules'.. Also pointed out i didnt wish to sell but trade.. So unsure of the purpose of ya post. Plus as prices on ebay have shown - the ally macbook will hold its price well due to the swappable battery.. I wouldn't sell a Macbook on here - get much better price on ebay even after fee's

You asked about a swap for my PC before but you wanted at least a 24" monitor along with it...(http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/434495/phenom-ii-pc-for-sale/) would you consider a Dell SP2208WFP 22" HD Ready LCD monitor instead?

Well it's actually valued at £600 on mac2sell - despite that, due to the nature of the apple products. These things are shifting on ebay for £700+ with postage on top. Which i wouldn't have trouble getting due to warranty and condition.

Your PC however will be an absolute nightmare to sell at the £500 you have now dropped the price to (just gotta look at how much interest you've had on your thread to know that). I tried to sell a Q6600 setup with dual high end 22" samsung monitors. Struggled to hell and back to sell it on here.. Only just managed to get £570 on ebay and i was lucky (as someone contacted me privately).. Even then i only got that due to the monitors, was a good selling point. PCs drop in value like a stone and whitebox's (custom build PCs) go for peanuts on ebay. That's essentially always the problem, i know in 8 or so months that my macbook will still be worth quite a bit if i decide to upgrade - the PC will be worth sod all in that time.

I'd want £100 on top of your offer i'm afraid. Otherwise i'll leave it. Which i feel is fair.
