I know it sounds daft considering how good a media player the xbox is but my mum and dad just can't get on with it.

I'm looking for a decent dvd player with divx support as a trade.

Let me know what you've got and what kind of deal you're looking for

Cheers !

I've got to ask - what is there not to get on with?

You set it up so it boots XBMC as the dashboard, use the DVD Remote to choose what you want to watch (you can customise the videos section to be exactly suited to their requirements), and watch it! It has far more functionality than a standalone player and by changing the EEPROM so the video mode is NTSC, you can enable the HD resolutions and output up to 1080i with component cables.

If I didn't already have two Xboxes and had a divx player I'd have happily swapped it with you. I'm sure someone here will be willing to do so.

Done all that....they just flat out don't like it. Mum doesn't like how it looks and dad can't get on with the interface.

A nice dvd player will do a better job for them i reckon

Didn't you notice this thread was 7 months old and should have been expired? Also, I very much doubt even if you offered both of those things together you'd get any takers on a swap for a softmodded xbox.
