Just to confirm (as I cannot see any images hosted on ImageShack due to office internet usage restrictions): Is this a UK/PAL commercial (retail; non-promotional copy) edition, still sealed, without any damage to the case/packaging?

Would you take £8 in cash paid directly into a high street bank account to cover the cost of the item & Recorded Delivery?

Also, do you have more than one of these titles (in the same brand new/sealed) condition?

I was really looking for a second one (as well).

Thanks for your consideration/reply.

BFN,

This looks a lot like profiteering to me. Even if he didn't buy these on the 2 for £30, £13 for the headset in the other thread and £8 for this comes to £21, which is more than it was purchased for. But realistically we all know that it was purchased for £15 effectively.

£8 is still under the Recommended Retail Price for this title; so I do not mind paying that (if Recorded Delivery is included).

I did not want the headset. I have one with the "Warhawk" bundle I purchased & I never use the thing as I don't like it.

I prefer using the PlayStation Eye (camera).

It'd only be profiteering if he sells the other copy and headset and total come above £30 for both sets. At the moment he is just trying to make his copy with headset cheaper and give another user a good deal in the process

I can't say I agree with either of those points. He has bought two identical items for £30, so they were £15 each. Even without that deal they were just below £18 each if I remember correctly. They are quite obviously two different items. Buying them at the same time only alters the price that he bought them for. It doesn't turn them into one item.

The second sentence misses the point as far as the rules go. Yes, he is offering items that are currently cheaper than what others can buy. But at the time he bought this he actually bought two copies and in doing so deprived somebody else of the chance to purchase one at a lower price. He is now selling it on to make money on it, which is the process that triggered the profiteering rule in the first place. It can be seen as a negative just as easily as you twisted it into a positive.

No argument from me on the RRP point. And indeed I actually don't necessarily support the profiteering rule either. I think if someone wants to buy at a price higher than the seller purchased the item for originally (or even over RRP for that matter) then let them. But whilst we use this site we have to follow its rules, and in my opinion this is clearly profiteering.

Which again I have no problem with, but it is against the rules of the site as you are making a profit. If you had attempted to sell both items in the same thread for £21, it would have been closed for profiteering. The fact that you have started two different threads in order to circumvent those rules and/or make more money doesn't avoid the fact that you are still breaking the rules in doing so.

I'm with you on abiding by the rules.

However, I am not in agreement that buying two items for a set price means you can buy one for half of that price.

Supermarkets & other retailers use the "Buy Two Get One Free" (or however it is worded) marketing scheme many times, and you cannot buy just one at half the price of the bundle deal.

(The seller has not accepted or rejected my offer either way. It it does turn out to be a hassle trying to negotiate a price I'll just walk away [after politely retracting my offer] though).
