I have for sale one 13" black apple macbook, it's in very good condition (just a couple of minor scuffs). It comes with the latest version of Snow Leopard (10.6.4).

Brief Specs:

Intel Core Duo Processor 2.0GHz
2GB DDR2 SDRAM
160GB Hard Drive
Matshita Superdrive
Intel 950
Mini-DVI output port - supports VGA, etc
13.3 inch High Res TFT Widescreen Display
FireWire port
USB ports x 2
Scrolling Trackpad
Built-in iSight Still/Movie camera
Stereo speakers and microphone
Combined optical digital audio input/audio line in
Combined optical digital audio output/headphone out
10/100/1000BASE-T (Gigabit) Broadband/Networks port
Built-in 54-Mbps AirPort Extreme wireless networking
Bluetooth for your wireless mouse, etc
Battery life is good for it's age (approx 2-3 hrs When fully charged)
MagSafe 60W PSU

You will receive Macbook, Battery, Magsafe 60W, Snow Leopard 10.6 Retail disc.

OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.4 installed.

The MacBook is in perfect working condition. There is only 1 tiny scratch on the side of it but nothing major. There is no dent/chip on it or missing bits.

Interior is perfect & clean.

The scrolling trackpad and button work and the keyboard is clean, undamaged and all keys works. Trackpad shows slight signs of use.

The DVD drive read/write, as does the iSight camera and the microphone.

There is no damage or any cracks to the main body or the screen bezel, and the screen hinges are good. No Dead Pixels/ Lines.

The screen itself is good, and the magnetic latch for the screen works.

The battery life is good and the MagSafe 60W Power Supply works fine.

The mini-DVI port works, so you can hook it up to a TV, projector, Apple Cinema screen, etc.

No original box but will be carefully packaged for shipping.

Thanks

Dee

The slight scuff can just about be seen in the image above.

Hi, Iam also in London, is this the 2006 model btw?

Im in West London and Iam willing to pick it up from you, also I feel this laptop needs a new battery, as for 13 inch, it should last around 8-10 hours, a new battery cost around £50-£80

I could offer you £330

No too low for me but thanks for the offer. I'm in N.W. London so if you had a better offer we could meet somewhere in between.

ps. Yes it's the 2006 model

Hi,

Sorry I won't be able to go that low, (lowest i could do collected is £390) as I've spent money upgrading the hdd from the original 80GB to 160GB & doubling the ram & i'm including the snow leopard disc. A friend of mine bought a refurb battery from apple for around £40 I think, but 2 to 3 hrs is pretty good imo.

Seeing as the battery isn't too great, and for a student like me the special offer on the main apple site for the latest 2009 model is nicely priced - i could offer you around £340 delivered for this?

Or could do a swap + cash for:

- Xbox 360 (20GB) with 6 months Xbox live & wireless adapter. Official controller, headset & Assasin's Creed II, Red Dead Redemption, Left 4 Dead 2 (with additional purchased DLC). Also with downloaded games such as worms & castle crashers.

- iPod Touch 32GB (1st gen in great condition) - fully boxed, complete with extra cases and protectors.

Hi,

Thanks very much for the offer but £340's almost £100 less than what I was looking for and delivery will cost around £15 so I'll be taking quite a loss. If you could perhaps bring your offer up closer to the £400 region I'd consider it.

Cheers mate I appreciate all your help. Errm, i've had a hard think and as much as i'm up for it - replacing the battery and trying to sort out some insurance for the laptop would take up some of my priority.

I can understand if you say no, but it's the best I can do for now - which is offer you £250 and the iPod Touch 32GB (which sells on here for £150) to come to the round £400. I can, however, try and shift the iPod first to raise funds - that's if you're not in too much of a hurry to sell?

Thanks again.

I was planning on sticking it on ebay this wknd as its free listings but i'd rather sell it to someone on HUKD (nicer people imo). So I'll hang on to it until you've sold the ipod. Just contact me when you can.

Oh mate honestly - i don't know how long exactly it'll take to shift the ipod touch, and i'll be on and off the site due to organizing Uni. If you were in a hurry to sell and stick it on ebay, then don't let me get in the way of it at all - because i don't wanna keep you waiting on something that might not potentially shift for some time if you get me.

I appreciate the generosity though my friend :)

No worries mate, and to be honest I don't really like ebay (too many scammers) so i'll hold on to it for a while and see how you get on.

Is the ipod touch as fast as an iphone 3gs or 3g?

I don't really know, as i haven't used the iphone 3g properly. I have a friend who owns one and they seem roughly the same speed to me. I've always used it in conjunction with my home wi-fi and it loads up web pages in a matter of seconds.

The back has moderate signs of wear, however the front has had a screen protector on since day 1 and looks absolutely pristine. It comes fully boxed with extra plastic and hard cases just to sort of sweeten the deal.

If you're after the latest sort of models that do that little bit more, then by all means look into that - but 32GB is a great amount of memory if you store a lot of songs and videos on your pc.

Also here's another question which may seem silly, but without manuals and any prior experience I'd have no idea - but with the trackpad how do you enlarge a page and scroll etc. Is it the pinch and expand technology? Thanks.
#21
The pinch and zoom model Is only available on newer models as it uses a multi touch grackles however your looking to pay £550+ for a model like that.

+1

Yes only the newer models do the pinch zoom.

There's not that much that you'll have to learn when it comes to using a mac its completely intuitive so anyone competent at using a windows laptop should have no problems at all.

The trackpad does do a few little tricks but nothing that most laptops cant do anyway. Things like 2 finger scrolling & zooming in & out when you hold the command button, but I can also do the same on my little acer aspire one (as well as pinch zoom that the macbook can't do).

did you part with your macbook.?
Most of these Core duo twoeey jobs are good up to 3 gig ram mem.
Is this the early 2006 model ?? Is this slightly underpowered for Final Cut 7. FCStudio3 etc..
I dont mind long loading time of projects but would like it to display in all its pretty colours and sharpness on the macbook or large monitor ? My Alienware has an old GTX Graphics card and seems to handle most gaming on a medium setting.. But these Macs seem to cope quite happily with Video editing adequately on GT or GS Cards. Any help greatly appreciated.
