So close yet so far!

we've made you an offer, why don't you make a counter-offer?

lol - is that one of the game rules? :p

Your offer of £12 was politely refused. Similarly Krooner's offer of £14.25 was declined. If you want to increase your offer, be my guest. :)

No need to play the arrogant and to mock people's posts. May be that's why you had no further offers. After all I offered you a lot more than YOU offered someone esle for theirs on the same day- see link below. In your offer (£15) to them you knocked about 40% of ther asking price (£25), whereas I knocked only 25% of yours. So try to be consistent, if not fair, and certainly a little humble; it is the buyer that's doing YOU a favour not the other way around.

Hmm ... taking this all a bit seriously, aren't you? But if mocking is your interpretation (it wasn't the intent), then I'll stick to logic: If I'd had set my asking price at £30, you could have knocked £50% off and got a positive response. That would have trumped my 40%! :) (and btw, their asking price was £1 cheaper than the price of a new drive, whereas mine is, to my knowledge, less than half the price)

But water under bridge, as we obviously won't be trading. Thanks for the insights into your thinking though.

£15 to anyone else?

@ Breadboy, I answered your question in an edit to the post above yours yesterday, rather than waste this final bump.
