I bought this new 3 years ago as my first Mac. Since then, I have bought a Macbook, which I use at University. I left the iMac at home to be used by my parents, but they don't get enough use from it to justify keeping it.

The specs are:
- 17'' display
- 2GHz Intel Core 2 Due processor
- RAM upgraded from 1GB to 2GB with Crucial recommended memory
- 160 GB HDD
- Superdrive (DVD± burner)
- ATI Radeon X1600 128MB graphics card

It comes with the original keyboard, Apple remote, and a slightly newer mighty mouse (I had the original replaced on warranty due to a stuck scrollball).

Comes with a fresh install of OS X Snow Leopard, the latest OS.

Condition is excellent, practically blemish free. It has been kept clean and cared for in a smoke free home.

It will come in all of the original packaging, which is again in very good condition, so could be a very nice present for someone.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Shipping/Payment:
Will be sent via DHL 48 Hours, or collection available.
Payment via Bank Transfer or Paypal (if fees are covered).

Is this for a quick sale or could it be possible to wait till end of the month?
#3
I would be willing to wait until the end of the month, since it is only a week and a half away.

However I can't promise to keep it if someone else comes along and offers the asking price, as i've had problems before with people asking me to wait, and then when the times comes they are no longer interested.

Although if you are willing to pay a deposit of say 10% then I will happily keep it for you until April 1st.

Ahh thats fair enough, is there movement around the price at all? Im pretty tempted by it, no signs of it dying etc,
#5
There is a little bit of movement in the price, make me an offer and we'll see how it goes.

There are definitely no signs of it biting the dust. I'm yet to hear of a mac breaking.
#6
Well it would be good for music tech will let you know.
#7
I very much doubt this mac will die, mines an older 20" Intel Core Duo and it gets hammered daily, a little over 3 years old and the first thing that broke was the keyboard but my spilling coke over it didn't help, the mouse also broke as I have really bad dry skin, oh and the remote broke last week but the actual mac itself is still as sweet as ever...

You can natively run Windoze on it via bootcamp if that's your scene..

If I needed a new mac, I'd bite your hand of at this!
#8
Im pretty mac knowledgeable so i know this is worth while i just dont get paid till end of the month,

£275 delivered?
#10
Sorry £275 is just way way way below what i'm looking for.
#11
£300?
banned#12
i think £275 is quite resonable... its 3 years old and used... and i bet you've never.. formatted and reinstalled the os, so its been clogged up for 3 years adding increased wear and tear to the hdd etc!
banned#13
dannyybeii69, So the potential of a wear and tear hard disk, you knock £110 off the asking price?
EVEN IF, the hard disk fails(i pretty much doubt), It isn't going to cost over £100 to replace.

To be honest, This is a good price at the initial price.
Good luck Tatey in selling it.
#14
Deadduck i'm afraid that is still too much off what i'm afraid. Ideally I'm looking to get at least £350 after postage, postage is going to cost £22, so my minimum would be £372.

dannyybeii69, as Hamm has pointed out, I personally don't feel that it would be reasonable to ask for £110 to be knocked off of the asking price, unless any proof was given that the asking price was way over valued, which if you have a look on ebay, iMacs are going for more than what I am looking for. The first one I found with similar specs, the seller is wanting £400 in total for it (item number: 380217408974).

Also in regards to your hard drive comment, most hard drives come with a 5 year warranty, and do you happen to have any proof that filling a hard drive with data (the designed use of the product) will significantly shorten the life of it?
#15
Sooo tempted to buy this... Can't really afford it all in one go though :(
#16
I know its less than your after, but i missed this one this afternoon with more ram (due to a sick 2 year old) item 330414636597.
So i'll offer £325 delivered for yours.
I appreciate its a lot less than your after, but the offer's there. :)
#17
Haven't we all been there Akai.

Thanks for the offer jojo1978, i'll keep it in mind, but i'm really trying to hold out for a bit more.

No problem, it would be perfect for my 12 year old to do her school work on, as she can run windows bootleg. Wish I could offer more, but don't have the funds.
#20
Im still up for paying close to the asking at the end of the month.

£365 and we have a deal? :-D
#23
Argh, i really want this for my daughter....lol
Hubby says i can offer £365,but he's currently working in france and i'm normally at work - only off today due to sickness bug, so need to figure out delivery.... Is the box really big, as wondering whether i'll be able to get it delivered to my work
Can you also confirm, does it come with the discs and manuals?
#24
The box has dimensions 25x55x55 cm.

It will come with Snow Leopard installed, as far as the screen where you enter your details, but the startup disks it comes with are Tiger OS. THis gives you the option to use Snow Leopard, or downgrade to Tiger when you get it.

In the box are:

iMac itself

Mighty mouse

Apple IR Remote

Apple keyboard

Colour manual

Original stickers and certifications etc.

Install disk 1 (Tiger OS), and install disk 2 (iLife '06)
Pictures of everything that it comes with will be uploaded in about 10 minutes.

Sounds good, i have a friend who says i can get it delivered to her house, she's just round the corner, so better than getting it delivered to a school full of inquisitive children :)
When's the earliest you'd be able to get it out for delivery?
#26
I can get it sent out tonight if payment is sent via bank transfer as that's pretty much instant.

Pics are loading on photobucket now - I'll get you the link when they've uploaded.

I just want to let you know that it is in excellent condition, with all the original packaging features as you will see in the photographs. I just want to mention 2 marks. There's a a tiny black mark on the back completely out of sight - you can see it in the pictures - and a bit of a manufacturing imperfection (from new) on the top, some tiny bubbles in the plastic over about 1 square cm - I tried to take a picture of it but it won't show up in photographs, it's that minor.

Actually you made an offer of £360!
I had previously made an offer, and accepted the op's new asking price.
I think you'll also find (although its not relevant) that its the op's choice as to who he sells to-doesn't have to be whoever offers asking price. Other factors are also taken into account such as feedback etc.
If you are grieved over it, then contact a mod.

the counter offer was made to me in response to my initial offer of £360 only for jojo to come in and offer it!

Having initially offered 325 took the oppourtunity to get in when seller made me offer!

Could have atleast said if orignal offer holder doesn't take i will!

I have no issues with the seller just not happy with the way someone takes advantage of my offer in such a sly manner!
#36
It was my other half's payday today, after finlly getting in contact with him (as he's in france) he authorised me to offer me. Sorry i've upset you!

You made that offer at 04:45 today but then didn't take any further action for over 11 hours. I'm guessing you either work shifts or keep Vampire's hours, but seriously, time doesn't wait for anyone in HUKD-land.

None of this has relevance to this thread. The seller's sold his computer to a nice buyer and they're both happy. I'm bored of bickering now.

If you actually knew how good this machine is you would understand it was worth asking price in the first place.

I had a lack of funds till end of the month, otherwise I would of snapped this up on the first day.

Don't see me complaining, thanks.
