for sale is a diamond ring worth £1200, need a quick sell to raise cash.

had listed on here previously, didnt get the price i wanted. got offered £440 but at the time i prefered to keep it, would accept that now...

had been holding on to this ring for a while hoping to sell in later years but it seems with the credit crunch and bills that time is now! pictures include proof of purchase with an authorised signature. any questions and ill be sure to answer them.

has a value of $3100 nz dollars, as it was bought there but i am obviously open to offers from 400 pounds or your nearest offer. thanks

with the exchange rate that is £1304

theres nothing wrong with the ring! it really is a genuine bargain, would prefer to keep it but need the cash. would rather sell it on here than pawn it.... but i may have too.

get yourself a bargain, sell on for profit if you get it or give it to a loved one for cheap enough!!!

thanks guys!
Shipping/Payment:
will send royal mail first class recorded and insured, will find out exactly what the price is...

you can meet in person in kent or soho, london to pay cash,

or bank transfer, preferably not paypal unless you want to pay the fees!

you cant ask for offers, you need a firm asking price...which according to your first post is £400

Also a size is usually helpful.

i dont have a clue about the size!! i dont know the slightest about rings...

why is everyone always so negative on here, it seems you people just sit around all day looking to point out peoples mistakes, i dont use hukd all day every day, so apologises if i miss some stuff out but i'm just trying to sell a diamond ring for 1/3rd of its value....

this is all about deals after all!

not being negative, firstly i was pointing out information just so it didnt get closed...thus positive for you.
Then i ask the size...which is very important if im going to think about buying it for my girlfriend...as if it doesnt fit i will have to get it resized = more money, and if its too small/big in comparasion it wont be able to be resized.

interested but it'd be difficult for to put in an offer without knowing the size ? can't see the embedded image from work, do you have a link to a similar ring online ?
#15
Sorry to point that just because you paid £1300 (or $3100NZ) doesn't mean it's worth £1300.

Take it into a jewellers m8 and they can tell you the EXACT size

ok i used the website suggested in the previous thread.

i put the ring on my little finger which it fitted and then used the print off to measure my little finger, my little finger appears to be a size 6...

so the ring is a size 6 ish.

hope thats ok...

L would be the size I am after, but I need to be sure, I'd recommend you get the size measured by a jeweller mate, it'd help your sale for sure

according to http://pages.ebay.com/buy/guides/ring-sizing-guide/#1

the ring is like the number 7 on there, probably more accurate to measure the ring rather than a figure it fit on!
#29
I suggest you get an exact size from a jeweller to help your sale, would also be advantageous to have a uk valuation certificate. I suspect you will struggle to sell this here unless you can provide these details along with the weight of the gold.

400 is too much to pay on a forum for a ring based on a pic and you will almost certainly have to mail first.I suggest that you do actually take it to a pawnbroker and redeem it later-if it is genuinely worth the valuation you will get far more than 400 for it-gold is at a high at the moment.
#30
^^^^ I agree.
I would be interested, if it came with a UK valuation and if I knew the exact size and weight.

ok i will get it weighed and verified etc,

just to let you all know it was bought from michael hill, which is a huge chain in australia and nz, its not from a dodgy unknown shop.

will post details when i know i get them confirmed.
#32
on the certification you have does it state the cut, clarity and colour?

the certificate is pictured:
http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/9296/891185246039a5223e44b19ek5.jpghttp://img207.imageshack.us/img207/891185246039a5223e44b19ek5.jpg/1/w400.png

and it states that this is a 5 year guarantee from the most reputable jeweller in the southern hemisphere!

i'm more than happy to go to the jewellers and get them to certify that all the information is correct, but better than that i'll just offer a full refund if this certificate is not 100|% accurate!

i'll weigh the ring as people want to know about it, but its 18ct gold with half carat of diamonds.

You don't know enough about the ring so get anything like what you're asking for. People are asking valid questions and you're just throwing them back in their faces.

ah its a certificate of purchase not a certificate of authenticity. thus doesnt have the cut, colour or clarity on it...it can make a huge difference to the value of the diamond.
