This is an officially unlocked iphone. The phone itself is in mint condition. The earphones have never been taken out of the box.

There is a minor dent on the box from when it was delivered.

Although it is not UK Stock, it was purchased from UK retailer Handtec on 21 August for £720 with one year warranty. Comes with proof of purchase.
Shipping/Payment:
Postage will be by Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery or collection in Person.
I'm in Sheffield.

yes, now unlock via 02 too

OP, as you are a member on AVforums, you can see there are similar phones for considerably cheaper, willing to come down

I guess I'm willing to reduce slightly, but I do need to try to get as high a price as possible. (Doesn't everyone!)
Make me an offer.

It should be stated that if you do buy a Pay as You Go iPhone, you need to wait 12 months before O2 unlock it. So not a like for like comparison.

this is from the O2 website:

Can I 'unlock' my iPhone and use it on another network?

For Pay Monthly and Pay & Go customers
Yes. If you're a Pay Monthly customer, then your iPhone can be unlocked at any point for free. Don't forget that you will still need to honour the remainder of the minimum term of your contract.

For iPhone on Pay & Go, unlocking can take place 12 months after purchase for a one-off £14.69 fee which will be deducted from your airtime balance.

Complete the unlocking form - it will take up to 14 days for the iPhone to be unlocked and we'll text you to confirm the unlock request.

Place a non-O2 sim into the iPhone and connect it to iTunes via a USB cable. iTunes will confirm that your iPhone has been successfully unlocked.

I need the money. As you can appreciate, I'm trying to minimise how much money I lose after 3 months.

sorry to jump in with questions but what if i was to buy an 18 month old iphone off someone will i have to register it for 12 months or will they unlock due to it'a age?

sorry again ;-)

You have to have an iphone contract (to unlock at anytime) or you can get an O2 iphone PAYG sim (if you ask them nicely, they sometimes give them free) and then wait 12 months.

OP would you post first?

Direct me to your feedback please?

Thanks

I'll be honest and say I'm extremely reluctant to post first. I see you've got good feedback so I might consider. Make me an offer and say how you'd pay and I'll think about it.

Would you be interested in xbox 120gb HDD trade?

I also have an ebay account with 2200+ feedback at 100% still

Sorry. No trades. I need cash.
Half of us are about to be made reduntant where I work. My boss has hinted that I may in the firing line as it would be a lot cheaper to get rid of me when some other people have been working 15-20 years at the same place and are near retirement age.
I'm selling now as people generally have more cash before xmas than after and I don't want to be under financial pressure when selling either. Oh, and knowing my luck, the phone wouldn't be in as good condition!
Sorry about the essay!

Thanks. But I'd previously recieved offers of £500 recently on another forum before posting here. They would have paid more too if they could have, but everyone has a limit to how much they can afford. I'm not asking for more than market value and there is some room for negotiation. I'm simply trying to avoid the fraudsters on ebay. I know I can make more (post charges) there, but I really don't fancy the risks and so am willing to sell for less here.

(14) Please ONLY post in a thread if you are interested in engaging in the sale/trade listed. Anything else will be considered thread spoiling and will be deleted. Thread spoilers, including threadjackers, face a ban from the FS/FT forum. If a member continually posts questions in multiple threads and then withdraws from the sale this will be considered thread spoiling. Low ball offers will also be considered thread spoiling and will be deleted. It is up to the original poster to use the 'report' button http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/540343/fs-32gb-black-iphone-3g-s-unlocked-/../../forums/images/custom_buttons/report.gif to notify moderators of any thread spoiling.

(15) The ONLY exception to this is if you see the EXACT item priced higher than available new elsewhere. In this case a third-party can make a post but ONLY in the following format: LINK TO MERCHANT - PRICE. No comments, just the facts. This must be the final price after VAT/shipping for a new product and from a reputable merchant. Price comparison to auction sites, classifieds or other personal sales are NOT allowed. Members who DO NOT follow these posting rules face a ban from the FS/FT forum.

Thread closed. You've exceeded the maximum bumps per thread of 3. You should consider multi quoting or appending a response to a previous post (if your happens to be the last response) rather than consecutively post. I've counted several of your posts that have since been deleted and not now visible to any member.
