Alright i have an iPod classic for sale 80GB

It has a slight problem, i've been told it is easily fixable, the iPod headphone jack may need replacing (which is £6 on ebay)

Basically the sound can be clear for a week then at random times have distorted sound

I'm looking for around £80

Cheers

Will be posting tomorow 13th March as i have a few items which i should have posted some time ago

Humm..

"Basically the sound can be clear for a week then at random times have distorted sound"

Describe what you mean by distorted..? If it was the headphone jack at fault I wouldnt expect distortion, but for one of the channels to drop in and out. Plug some headphones in, play a tune and wiggle the headphone jack around a little. Does the fault reoccur when you do this?

edit: and btw "Will be posting tomorow 13th March as i have a few items which i should have posted some time ago" doesn't exactly give me much confidence!

... basically i took this to an iPod shop in Birmingham Bullring (hometown = Birmingham)
I had it checked out and they stated it's simply a problem with the headphone jack, the guy was one of those who'd rather the customer save money so told me i should simply buy it from ebay and simply try fixing it myself, as there are many 'How-to-do-It's' on youtube

Basically i shouldn't say distortion - it is simply loss of sound in one ear bud, you can get the sound clearly by pulling the headphone lead (i.e the metal bit =D) out a tiny bit from the headphone jack, but it's not really an ideal way of listening to music

and in terms of posting i've had difficulty in posting from 11th (when Virgin Media' internet went down in postcodes of Birmingham) and today 12th (A-level results day) so has been quite hectic so i plan to post tomorow morning everything 1st class recorded - I hardly ever deliver so slow i usually do it same day or day after

EDIT: And when i meant 'some-time ago' i mean the items were purchased on the 11th, i tend to post next day so i feel the timespan is pretty.... huge lol

Ah ok mate

So have you bought a new ipod now? I've got a 30gb video, boxed, works fine, which I'm looking to upgrade, would you be interested in a straight up trade?

No, i've not purchased a new ipod. Nah not really interested in de-grading. I'd do the headphone jack myself but no time - only requires a remove and place job or get someone else to do it for £20

Ok no worries.

What's your best price? If collection is an option, where you based?

Birmingham

Best price collected would be £70

Doesn't cost too much to post
