Hi i Have for sale Iphone 3g 8 gb with 2 small faults as shown in the pictures (P.S. could someone tell me how to put multiple pictures on i have no idea?????)

2 faults:

1. A small crack near the charging slot approximately 1.5 cm long it has no effect on the phone and this happened on the second week on me getting the phone and so have bought a iskin cover since which will come with the phone

2.I cant seem to get any service i dont no why it maybe my sim or most probably the phone that is the reason i am selling im not very technical so dont want to open the phone some people are charging £20! TO FIX IT i a not paying that much so id rather sell

so apart from those two problems the phone is impecabble it has had a SCREEN PROTECTOR FR|OM DAY1 so screen should be flawless and there doesnt seem to be any blemeshes/scratches on the backs or sides apart from the small crack because of having a cover on from WEEK2

The receipt to show that i bought it will be in a picture (once i figure out how to put pics on) it was bought on 24/12/2008 so just over 2 years old.

It has been factory reset and im not sure what firmware its on but hasnt been upgraded for quite a while but dedfinantly hasnt got iphone 4.1 firmware or whatever its the old firmware

What will be included in the listing:
Iphone 8Gb 3g
charger
box i received from 02
Manuals & stuff that came with the phone
i skin hard cpver which i paid £20 for

I will sell by paypal gift only to those who have more than 80+ feedback
Any body below will have to bank transfer
I wont send first sorry just for my peace of mind but i have tried to be as honest as possible i have 300 pos feedabck 100% on ebay: Mezzanur

thanks for looking

THE PHONE ISNT BLOCKED IS IT UNBLOCKED!!!

if you're phones blocked in the uk you can't list it here
this is a very common thing with 'no service' phones, they've been blocked as they've been reported stolen or lost to get a replacement from the provider....

.... just to make you aware as mods will ask you to clarify this

yep - sounds like it is IMEI barred - quite common on iPhones!

How long have you had the phone? - have you had it from new? has it ever worked / got signal?

and those who offer a £20 fix will just change the IMEI number which is not legal in the UK

cool, i was just preparing you for the questions that will follow....
has it ever been opened (to break the antenna), it's very easy to check and it may be a flex cable has come loose from it's socket....

£20 sounds like something else rather than changing the IMEI, £20 seems too cheap to risk jail!!

It shouldnt be barred since i havent done anything to the phone ive brought it legit from new

im not sure if it gets signal all it says is no service i dont no why it happened i woke up one morning and it wouldnt turn on and when it did it said no service?

Upload your pix to a hosting site like tinypic.com and copy the code they give you to here. It's the code that starts . Remember to show your username in the pic. Just write it on a bit of paper beside the phone

pics look OK but the number you PMed me is teh serial number not the IMEI number

if you still have the box the IMEI number should be on it

or type *#06# as if you were going to make a call then the IMEI number should be displayed

yes it would appear OK and unblocked - just that most UK IMEI start with 35

can any iphone 3G users confirm that their IMEI number start with 01 or 011?

just trying to help

OK - is it locked to O2?

if yes then do any of your friends / family have an O2 sim card you could try?

also check with another network SIM card but my guess would be the phone si locked
