I am looking to sell this Acer 6920G Blu-Ray Laptop. I purchased it as a replacement for an older laptop after viewing this thread: (http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/269417/acer-6920g-laptop-radeon-hd-3650-gr/showthread.php?t=269417). As you can see, it was a hot deal at its original RRP! I am looking to sell as I have been gifted another laptop and now have a PS3, so I no longer have a need for it.

I purchased the laptop on November 1st from John Lewis, so it is just under a month old, and comes with a 2 year guaranteed with John Lewis. The laptop has seen extremely minimal use, I have only watched a couple of Blu-Rays on it and tested a few games to see its performance. It has only been used at a dedicated PC desk and has not been lugged around, I have been very careful with it, as such it is in absolute mint condition.

The laptop specs are as follows:
Core 2 Duo T5750 2.0GHZ processor
3GB DDR 2 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 3650 512MB (dedicated)
250GB HDD
Blu-Ray Drive
Optical Digital Out (for connection to home cinema/amps/receivers)
Integrated Wi-FI
Expansion Car Slot
Multi-Card Reader
4x USB SLots
1x VGA Out
1x HDMI Out

I have also purchased a genuine, serialed cop of PowerDVD 8 Ultra, which I am including in the sale which allows the laptop to flawlessley play all Blu-Ray titles. The software that Acer bundled was pretty dire and had alot of problems with some disks, it could not play the likes of Iron Man, Nightmare Before Christmas, or any of the newer Blu-Ray titles. This, therefore is an important addition, it cost me £58.

If I was selling this at RRP this would be over £650, I think I am selling it for a more than fair price, given the added inclusion of a genuine PowerDVD 8 Ultra and the mint condition of the laptop. It comes with the original packaging, all documentation and the actual John Lewis receipt which will entitle you to 2 years warranty.

A few pics of the laptop for sale:

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask!
Shipping/Payment:
I am looking for £540 delivered, £520 collected. I have a paypal account that has been in use for over 5 years and an eBay account with over 260 positives. I am based in Aberdeen for collection. I am also open to any reasonable offers!

Update 28/11/2008 Price is now £500 delivered £490 collected

bump!

Revised price: £500 delivered, £490 collected. If I was selling this at RRP it would be around £658, this is a bargain, practically new and with 2 years warranty!!

John Lewis is doing the laptop for £585... and i am sure the 10% voucher will work with it so it will bring the price down to £526
I quite like the laptop but if you can go a little lower i may be interested. I have a HTC touch diamond which i can include into it. It has latest TomTom Navigator with UK maps. I purchased it from here for £185... and also paid for some games and TomTom on the HTC.

Sorry, would like to do a cash sale only as I have a TomTom and a phone I'm happy with at the moment. realise JL may have reduced the price now, but this still does come with a genuine copy of Powerdvd Ultra 8 (worth £58). The in-built software included was pretty dire and had alot of problems with several Blu-Rays.

thank you for the images is it ok if you can provide one with the laptop switched on please. thanks

As requested :). Sorry for the flash effect, it is hard to capture it effectively without using the flash.

thanx for the photo! I still need to save up a little to get anywhere near the price range (thats why i wanted to sell my HTC!)
Thanks anyway, will let you know if i can cough up any more money. Good luck with your sale!
#9
Thanks again for your interest, maybe hear back from you soon :).
#10
Bump again,

Please note, this is now Out of Stock at John Lewis! I am still open to any reasonable offers!
#11
There doesn't seem to be much interest, so this will be my last price revision:

£450 collected, £460 delivered, thats over £100 less than the RRP of the laptop, not even taking into account the value of the PowerDVD 8 Ultra software.

I am at work 9-5 tomorrow (Saturday) and may bump during the day, but if there is no interest by this time tomorrow I will withdraw the item and sell elsewhere :).
#12
tempted. :whistling:

will think about it and respond.

cheers
#13
Hope to hear back from you too manoj123 :).

Also I can find no information pertaining to the 10% discount voucher jaguark suggested, can anyone shed any light on whether this is the case?
#14
I am quite tempted to buy this but if you could do trade for my HTC with cash on top (from me) then it would be good. I have already finished my student loan! am under the credit crunch too i guess lol
#15
I'm sorry mate, I'm really just after the cash right now as I wouldn't really have anything to do with the HTC :(.
#16
hi,
can you please confirm it has br multi drive and the screen resolution, link to your model would be helpful
#17
Yes, I can confirm it has the BR Multi-Drive. It is the same model that can be found here.

The screen res is 1366x768.
#18
Doesn't seem to be any more interest? Will slightly extend this untill 11pm, at which point if no offers have been made, this will be formally withdrawn from sale.

surely a bluray player screen would jhave to support 1080p and not 720p,you wont be getting the full detail

Item has now been formally removed from sale :).

The 6920g you are quoting from Amazon is a completely different confguration, it does not come with a Blu-Ray drive and has a different graphics card. There are a few variations of this model.

Secondly, your point about Blu-Rays, you may aswell say there would be no point in watching Blu-Rays on a 720p HDTV which alot of people do, and on a 16" screen you would hardly notice the difference anyway. The main benefit of this laptop having Blu-Ray is the HDMI out which lets you use it and output in 1080p to a full def panel if you wish.

Mods can lock thread please :).

No worries mate hehe, didn't take it that way :). They do a version with a 1080p screen, but I think that on a 16" screen would murder my eyes :(.

I know you have stated that this is closed, but if you still wish to sell the laptop, I am willing to pay the £460 delivered for it in full.
#25
I hope this is not against forum rules, but I would like to withdraw the item from sale elsewhere and reactivate this thread, if mods decide I need to open a new thread please advise and I will do so.

Currently awaiting information from Gun Wraith as this is their first post on the forum, but I am looking to sell this asap, if there is anyone with reputable feedback who would like to meet my asking price I may be able to accomodate them, if I have not heard back from Gun Wraith within a reasonable timeframe.
#26
Can you please confirm if it comes with receipt?

£400 delivered including everything? will pay immediately.
#27
I can confirm this comes with the original receipt entitling you to 2 years warranty,

£420 is really the lowest I can sell this for to make it worthwhile, but if you decide to meet me at this price I'll throw in an Iron Man Blu-Ray aswell :).

Let me know mate
#28
