For sale is my Acer Aspire 5741 Laptop. I got it free through an incentive scheme at work about 2 weeks ago but have decided I would rather sell it and buy an iPad as my desktop iMac does me fine and I really don't need a full laptop for mobile computing.

It has an Intel Core i3 Processor running 2.13Ghz, a 15.6" HD LED LCD Screen, 320GB Hard Drive, 3GB RAM and HDMI Out. Wireless 'N' as standard and 'Intel HD Graphics up to 1275MB'

It is in 'As New' condition and shows now wear at all as you would expect. In the past two weeks it has probably been used about 7-8 hours maximum. It comes complete with the original box as shown and the charger. The serial number hasn't been registered with Acer yet so the warranty can be originally registered to your own address. I even have all the bags and stickers that it came packaged in within the box.

It retails at £480 at the PC World/Currys outlets and £447 at Amazon. A quick search says this is the cheapest this is available in this condition without going to eBay. Links as follows:

Shipping/Payment:
Payment via Cash on Collection from York or by Cheque/ Bank Transfer. I don't have a PayPal account I'm afraid.

Postage will be via next day courier (UPS or DHL)
Location:
York

You fancy a swap and some cash for a newish PS3 - 250GB Slim Uncharted 2 pack with great games and 2 controllers and warranty? Could easily pass as new for a Christmas present?

Really I am looking for cash but I could be tempted... what would we be looking at in terms of the games and cash?

Hi BT,
I'll tell you what I have, and we can negotiate on price, and take it from there...

Uncharted 2 PS3 Slim 250GB Pack.
COD MW2 + New map pack
Assassins Creed - BNIB but cellophane off, unplayed.
LBP - BNIB
God of War Collection
Borderlands
Motorstorm Pacific Rift
Resistance 2
Tekken 6
Dead Space
x 2 Dualshock 3 sixaxis controllers
Mint box with all the bits.

It is in great condition. The second controller was only bought a few months ago.
Nearly all of the games are "as new". I mainly just play MW2 when I play it. The other games maybe only played once or twice, with the exception of Uncharted 2, why I bought it in the first place.
Turned on, put in, and played until completed, best gaming experience of my life!
IMHO worth buying it just for that alone.

There you have it. We can work out what the difference in "££ value" is, and I'll pay the difference.
Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

Thanks for the info - it sounds quite good and there are a nice selection of games. Doing a quick search through preowned prices (and taking LBP and AC as being 'new' I still think I'd be looking to want £100 in cash as most of them can be had pretty cheap now (even COD to my surprise...) the console holds it's value well though as can be expected...

Let me know your thoughts and what you were thinking though...

What is the native screen resolution? Not a great Acer fan but looks like a decent laptop.

Hi BT,
I am thinking £75, and we both pay to have the items posted insured delivery to each other.
What do you think?

Sorry rehydrated I didn't see that comment when I posted my last comment as my browser was left open so please don't feel I was ignoring it.

Anyway... If you are willing to increase it to £85 I will agree on a deal and move to PM? I have a contract with UPS so I can guarantee next day delivery with tracking.

Hi BT,
I think that sounds fair. I'm away tomorrow for the day, so won't be able to post until Monday. If this is ok with you, we can confirm arrangements in PM and sort out the details. Thanks.

That's all good with me... I'm a bit busy before then anyway actually as I'm on business in Newcastle over the weekend. Will PM when I return home from work later if you haven't already :)
#13
rehydrated did you get my PM? Not heard a response yet...

Looks like this has fallen through - deal to be resubmitted

MOD edit : you cannot resubmit a currently active thread. Please continue any new negotiations in this currently live thread - also MOD PM'd.
