FOR SALE: Acer Travelmate 2001LC laptop

Spec:

Intel Celeron 2.6GHz
512Mb DDR333 RAM
30Gb HDD
15" TFT LCD display
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP graphics
DVD/CD-RW optical drive
Windows XP Home Editon
Original Acer power supply
D-Link AirPlus G+ Wireless card

This has been a fantastic laptop for me and I am now selling as I have a new desktop so the laptop isn't used. The laptop has a fresh install of Windows XP and will be supplied with all original Acer recovery disks, system disks, and manuals.

I also have a range of software and extras I'll include such as;
Sony ImageMixer
Panda Antivirus
PowerDVD
D-Link Wireless drivers and software
2.5" IDE to 3.5" IDE data cable
Belkin carry case (been used to store laptop, minor scratches).

The laptop has very few scratches on the outside of the case. Inside, it has no scratches and the screen is blemish free. There are no dead pixels on the screen. ALl keyboard buttons and the mouse track pad work perfectly.

I have listed the laptop as possibly faulty as the laptop fan runs all the time and can be quite loud. Occasionally the laptop will shut itself down as part of its thermal protection as the laptop appears to overheat. This is usually a result of heavy use e.g gaming. I have been told this can be fixed by taking apart the laptop, clearing out the dust that has gathered inside the chassis and then reassembling which improves the airflow. I don't believe this is a major issue but want to point it out.

Buyer can choose method of postage and therefore cost, but Standard Parcels would be around £10 I believe. I'm looking for £75 for the laptop and all the extras.

Battery life is a couple of hours usage. It does depend on your usage and the conditions so if its really hot I guess it will shot down sooner. I've done a full reinstall of Windows with no problems though. You would want to look at doing something about the fan though, i.e. clearing out the dust.

I agree, reckon it would only take a few minutes, unscrew the case and take it apart, clean out any trapped dust.
