Selling my Advent Netbook - not getting much use & I already have another lappy that's fairly portable.

It has been upgraded to 2GB RAM, and the battery still holds 90% charge.

# Intel Atom N270 - 1.6Ghz
# 2GB RAM
# 80 GB Hard Drive
# USB x 3
# Ethernet
# Bluetooth
# 1.3-megapixel webcam
# Display: 10.1 in.
# Maximum resolution: 1024x600 pixels
# Built-in speakers
# Dimensions (W x H x D): 260 x 28 x 180mm
# Weight 1.3 kg
# Battery: Li-ion

Some going on 'bay (like 180462130210) for between £150-165 + P&P.

Although I've never actually tried it, there's load of info on the net about using OS X on this machine (i.e. making it a hackintosh) due to it being exactly the same as the MSI Wind - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSI_Wind_Netbook

Machine is in excellent condition & supplied with AC adapter & red padded slip case.
The mods had removed this listing before as I had the Windows 7 Beta running on it (beautifully I may add) and so I have now reformatted it and reinstalled Windows XP with the serial on the COA.

SLASHED IN PRICE BECAUSE I HAVE GONE TO PUT IN THE SERIAL FROM THE COA IN TODAY AND I CAN'T QUITE MAKE OUT THE LAST COUPLE OF DIGITS. SURE SOMEONE WITH A MAGNIFYING GLASS AND GOOD EYES COULD TACKLE THIS > I HAVE NEITHER!

Still Available.

hey hope the ipod was alright, you never left feedback.

maybe intrested in this in about a week or two for a birthday present for my mum. hows the battery life in terms of hours?

but i was thinking nearish the £100 margin, as i looked on the bay and there seeming to average towards that now.

what XP build has been installed - is it the original ADVENT build with the recovery partition ?
If not, is the XP media supplied for future re-installations ?
#6
Cheers EliTom - rep for the review.

Bilbo - I left feedback about an hour before you posted that! My thanks for the trade. Think it does around 2.5 hours, although I haven't tested recently. Sorry, but it's worth well over £100 - One went yesterday for £170 + £9 P&P. Suppose it's worth more if your mum uses OSX!

bykergrove - As Eli states, there is no HDMI, only VGA.

Phanco - I'm afraid the partition no longer exists & the XP has been reinstalled is Home SP3 from my personal copy. I am not in possession of the original media - the COA however is still present.

ooh i'm confused with the listings

320485262243 went for £100 delivered (add about £10 to value for the extra 1gb of ram) whereas 170446283931 sold for the £170 + p&p

what's the lowest you would take. i might to able to stretch a little more, and she'd just be using the knock off windows 7 i would boot onto it ;)
#8
Does it have the box and everything that came with it? It's hard to tel from the pictures but is it in great condition?

Yeah, not sure what was wrong with that one tbh - haven't seen the listing. Plenty going for the higher end though.

My problem is the delivery. I know the cheapest way is courier but I'm out throughout the week & RM have a 2kg limit after which special delivery flips up to the next category which is in excess of £20. Hoping as the unit weighs 1.3Kg that I can get it below that marker

It doesn't have the box with it, no. I presume they're only supplied with the netbook & power adapter. Obviously I'm selling both of those and I'm throwing in a pretty nice red cover which feels like it could be made out of neoprene. :)
And yes, it's in excellent condition. If I received it as a present nicely boxed up I'd still be a very happy man!

Sorry mate, Bilbo traded me one of these last week.
#14
Too much for me sorry if it doesn't have the box, good luck with you sale.
#15
Turned it on today to pop the serial in and I can't make out the last two digits so I've cut the price by £20. A steal if you have good eyes or are planning to reformat anyway. Can't go lower than this as it will fetch at least £160 at you know where.

So £100 POSTED?
#17
Does the internet come up fully or do you have to scroll across to see the full page

Nope. Reduced from £140 to £120. Come on mate, £100 would be madness. :-D

Renders pages a treat. this is a 1024 x 600 display so although it's not as high res as some of the displays on ~£250 netbooks, it's bigger than the stingy 1024 x 576 res that people complained about on some Dell Mini 10s.
#19
So does this have xp sp3 on it then ? Or are you going to reformat it before posting it ?
banned#20
£120 posted then yeah?
#21
It has XP Home SP3 on it. There is a COA with valid serial on the underside of the case but I can't quite make out the last two digits.

If you have a magnifying glass handy you could probably work out the digits and pop them in. (XP runs for 30 days without a serial)

The price is £120 delivered via ROYAL MAIL 2ND CLASS RECORDED. If you require special delivery or a courier then add £7 and I'll be happy to oblige.

Sorry, but I can't possibly go lower than this.

Unibond has pulled out this transaction as I do not have a landline number (I am on Virgin Media Cable - no need).

Item is thus still available.

Be aware of what you are buying. This one doesn't have an activated Windows XP licence.

Yes, I would do £127 with Royal Mail Special Delivery.

This does have a valid COA, and as I say, if you actually have a magnifying glass and some will you'll figure out the last two digits. Since this is an epic hackintosh I kind of presumed most people would simply wipe the machine.

I have popped XP on without the serial so the winner can choose to do this if they like and save a couple of hours.

MarkB5504 - I will PM you now and we'll call this a deal pending payment. I will get the item off on Saturday morning (again pending a cleared payment)

Please check my feedback and know I'm a genuine seller. If you want a message from my eBay account please let me know.

Mark - I have tried to PM you but your inbox is full. I'm off out now for a couple of hours but I will get a PM off to you soon so that you can follow up with payment.
