I am selling a brand new sealed Apple iPad 16gb WiFi.

The iPad was purchased 5 days ago from Currys using a voucher I received for a laptop that broke under warranty; and I didn't need a laptop as I already had a new one.

The iPad isn't required and I can't take it back to the store as I don't need or won't another voucher.

Original receipt will be provided for warranty purposes.

Not looking for any trades as I need the money.

Also, I will not post first or deal with anyone that isn't able to verify their identity or has poor feedback.

ebay user id is: deej_bay - member since 2002 and have 100% positive feedback at a rating of 1181.

Giving it a try here for a week before I stick it on ebay.

Please only comment or post on this thread if you are interested in buying.

Any questions please ask.

DJ
Shipping/Payment:
The iPad will be sent via special delivery or can be collected.

Payment via Paypal gift, direct bank transfer or cash on collection.

If collecting a small paypal deposit will be required to hold the item and verify identity.

Will offer £350 here 8)

£360 here payment method of your choice.

Looking to get an iPad asap; are you able to post today to arrive tomorrow?
Also, given the relatively high price of the item are you willing to split the payment; half now, half on arrival? I have blemish free trading history on Avforums(splinters69), Playtrade (splinters) and eBay (envision-imaging). Delivery address would also be a school if that is any more reassuring (I am a teacher, not a student). Want this for use in a Technology class.

How about £380 mate.

I would post as soon as payment has been received/cleared.

Would want full payment; I think my feedback is sufficient. Also, the item can be collected if you prefer and are local to: Colliers Wood, London, SW19. (I am 30 seconds from the tube station).

Payment preference would be bank transfer as this way I wouldn't have to wait for paypal to transfer it and we will both have each others account details if any problems. Or if you can collect you are welcome to pay cash.

Cheers,

DJ

Can do £370 by BT if you can post today.

I take it the iPad hasn't been registered and therefore has the full years warranty? Can you PM the serial number so I can check.
Oh, I can make it £371 if rules require a higher bid but you did ask for BT which I can do right away...:-)
#10
I will it at asking then, i will pay via ppg and dont mind post anytime
#11
I would accept your £380 offer and pay by BT but looks like heovang is offering your £390 asking by PPG so I guess I am out.

Sorry I was on my phone, was walking and checking this at the same time, didn't see OP willing to take £380 as above, and he prefer BT so I guess I can't do it as I have some funds on Paypal want to get rid off

So I think I will wait then, you are more than welcome to have it SPlinter, as it may be useful for your teaching, seriously
#13
I looked away for a second and now I am thoroughly confussed - who's in and who's out...lol.
#14
Sorry if you accept ppg, i am in. If you prefer bt I am out, i didnt see you offer £380 above so my offer at asking is a bit naughty so I explain as aboved. Confused myself too.. Lol
#15
I guess it depends how you want paying as £380 is on the table from two of us: I can do either but heovang wants to do PP. I really need this tomorrow and heovang not in a rush.
You choose mate...which is best for you.
#16
Ok Splinters. I will leave it to you

Op sorry to confuse you, I can wait for the next one to be on

I don't really have a problem with PP gift but did offer it to Spilters for £380 first but original asking price was £390; so if the offer is the same I should try to sort the deal out with him first. (I get confussed by the rules on hear sometimes so hopefully somebody will hit me with a stick if I am breaking them).

I am fine with posting asap; but I guess it depends on who you bank with as to whether the payment clears in time and I am at work at the moment so will have to try to sneak home to package it up so may only get posted out tomorrow. BTW, my bank is barclays.

If heovang wants it at £390 then that is fine (probably shouldn't be spending so much money for a class project anyway so I am easy on this one). I will honour my offer of £380 BT if not as long as it can go by RMSD today. I use Halifax who claim to transfer in under 2 hours.

I can guarantee I can get home to send it, and can guarantee that I will check my bank every hour, the one thing I can't guarantee is the payment showing as my bank also claims 2 hours (i think it is called faster payments) but I have known it to take upto 48 before. If you are happy with this then ok, I just don't want you jumping up and down if the delay is caused by the bank. BTW, where abouts are you located?

No problem, I'm not really sure how it works around hear anymore as the rules seem to constantly change. I just want the best price lol..

Some more info on the Faster Payments service:

Q5. Does this mean I can make my bill payments on the day they are due?

Sending a payment via the Faster Payments Service does not guarantee that the beneficiary account will be credited on the same day.

Furthermore, not all sort codes are eligible for the Faster Payments Service and payments to accounts held at these sort codes will continue to take at least three working days.

Q6. How long will a Faster Payment take?

Payments sent via the Faster Payments Service should be received on the same day although there is no guarantee of this – some will be available more quickly than others.

I am in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Has Heovang passed on the £390 offer?
I will leave it with you, if I am to buy it then let me have your account details via PM. Could I also have your mobile phone and address just to check? I got stung for a £5 blu here a few months ago by a guy with twice your rating...you never know and this is the best part of £400...anyway let me know.
#24
EDIT: Sorry, I obviosuly don't want your mobile phone (unless its an apple and you want to give it away ;-)) I meant phone number and I will give you my details too. Is there anyway to confirm you are the same guy on ebay?

Yes you create a random code, send a message on Ebay and ask to confirm that code on HUKD via PM

I think Heovang still wants it at £390 but I offered i to you for £380 first so you have first option (of course you are welcome to match, lol).

Mobile number, address and email addy will be given via pm to confirm identity (I would also require your home address as well as school address).

If you can accept there may be a delay caused by the banks above then we have a deal and we can take it to PM??

One other thing is if I/we needed to make a claim we would need the original receipt I am going to take a copy of it but do you think I should send you the copy and once it has been received safely then send the original??
#27
If you keep the copy and send me the original it should be fine. RMSD is guaranteed and should cover up to £500 I believe. Not likely to go missing. On second thoughts, perhaps you can send me the copy first and then the original when I confirm receipt of the ipad.
I realise you want the best price to shall we say 30min more and then we move to payment if he has not taken it. Rules are generally that asking gets it as you didn't actually accept my offer...heovang offered asking.
Sound OK...can you reply to the ebay message i just sent.

OP

You can sell it to whoever you think meets your requirements. The only point to note is that if you've indicated £380 as your revised asking price, then the item cannot be sold for higher than that amount.

As always, all parties follow the full trading advice.

Good luck.

Replied. To be honest I think as I offered it to you, you have to at least have a chance to take me up on that offer (I think I would be peed if it were the other way around). Also, I would prefer BT as whenever I have money in PP I get tempted.

With this in mind if you are happy we have a deal, if not I will take Heovang up on her offer.

I feel like this is an episode of Dragon's Den or something.

Sent you a PM for details. Heovang kindly PM'd me and offered to retract the offer. I replied offering 30 mins to accept but then a Scottish Bloke pointed out it could not be sold for more then £380 so will take it as per the original offer.
Can a Mod advide regarding the receipt; should the original be sent seperately from the item in case it is lost and who would be best to have the copy?
#32
Lol if the deal falls throught, only if for whatever reason, I am still here, and I am not fuss on the receipt, can send me later.

Regarding OP mention that have money on Paypal and feel tempted..I am a victim of it now..hahaha

ASB is cool ! Thanks for that clarification

Details exchanged, rang the seller to confirm details and payment sent via express payment just after 1PM should show up before 3pm. Postage agreed for today by RMSD...hopefully will receive it tomorrow at work.
Cheers OP and cheers heovang for you courtesy and patience.
#34
Thanks Splinters; I will check my bank at 3pm and let you know.

Thanks heovang and good luck with finding one.
#35
Payment has been received, thanks. Will post the ipad around 4pm and will send you reference number. What did you decide about the receipt?
#36
Is it possible to have a copy (just to be on the safe side) then send the real one (possibly recorded) once the ipad is received? Don't want to mess you around but that way we both have proof of purchase while in transit and then i will have the actual receipt. If there is a problem with the iPad do i take it to Currys in the first instance as it is only 5 days old?
#37
iPad received just before 12 noon. Very well packed and I am now surfing like a good 'un on it. Well happy mate and left very positive feedback...if you could leave me some too.
A great deal all in all and, despite my reservations at buying one, looks like I will love the iPad if the first hour is anything to go by.
