My family were given two iPads for Christmas, but we are happy with the old one and don't need the latest model, so I decided to sell one. It is still boxed and unopened. I believe it is locked to Vodafone, but may be unlocked (can't test without opening it?). If it is network locked, then Vodafone will unlock to all networks for free.

The full price is £670, so this is a big discount for an 'as new' item.

Price includes tracked courier once payment has cleared, I prefer PPG or Bank Transfer.
Happy to meet near Heathrow/West London or Watford/NW London.
Any questions please ask.
Shipping/Payment:
Payment in cash, PPG or Bank Transfer
Shipping: RM SD / Tracked Courier (once payment cleared)

More than likely it is locked to Vodafone.

Are you willing to assist with unlocking? As they will not just unlock for anyone who is not on Vodafone according to the CS person i had a quick call with?

--------------------------------------

To get your unlock code, we’ll need some information from you first. Once we’ve received it, we’ll contact you within 48 hours. Sometimes we may need to get in touch with your phone’s manufacturer. This can take up to 10 days. We’ll always keep you informed, so you’ll know what’s happening and when.

Network unlock codes are free to all Consumer and Small Business customers.

Click each of the following boxes to confirm that they apply to you.

I have been using the phone I wish to unlock on the Vodafone UK network
I've been using the phone and number for more than 30 days
The phone hasn't been reported lost or stolen
I haven't already received 3 codes this year for this number
I have had more than 3 bills, and they are paid and up to date (PAYM customers only)

Hi TechNet,

If you have an existing Vodafone account already, they will unlock straightaway once they see your SIM in the device on the network.
If you are not on Vodafone, you need to use a Vodafone PAYG SIM for 30 days, then they will then unlock for you.

This is how I unlocked my old/current iPad Air 2 last year (using a PAYG SIM for 30 days). The form you have quoted is the same form I used for the NUC request.

I am willing to help, but not sure what you need me to do?
The iPad is sealed, so I'm not looking to open it as it will lower the value.

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry i was assuming you might have had a Vodafone account where you could request an unlock similar to O2.
Okay i should be able to do the unlock myself using a PAYG sim in that case.

I can offer £425 collected from you near Heathrow some point this week and do a bank transfer?
Just going by what new sealed ones have ended on eBay, obviously taking into account listing fees etc which you wont have.

Hi There, don't want to get into an auction but if the other person does not go for the 450 offer, I will. I'll be travelling down the M4 to Brentford on Sunday. If it works. Cheers, Jim

Sure. Will give TechNet some time to decide.
I'm available on Sunday and can meet just off Junction 4 of the M4 if that works.

Yup okay will take it at the price offered.

I am actually in the Midlands but will be heading past Heathrow (M25) this coming week during the evening or Sat/Sun heading to my folks so should be able to find somewhere convenient?

Accepted at £450. As mentioned above, I'm near J4 of the M4 so can meet close by.
I'm available every evening this week except Wednesday. I'm not local on Saturday, so if it's the weekend it will need to be on Sunday.

Taking to PM.
