Hi, new seller here. I'm selling an Apple iPod classic 80GB black.

iPod is in excellent condition. I bought it to use on holiday and kept the plastic on throughout the duration and also bought a protective silicone case too!

The screen is clean with no scratches that I can see.
The back is also in excellent condition, with very little wear on it.

iPod comes with a black silicone skin
iPod USB cable
iPod Headphones (still wrapped, un-used)

I've kept the box and everything is in excellent condition.
Shipping/Payment:
Payment accepted via PayPal. Cheque or postal order is fine, but will only send once cheque has completely cleared.

honest advice don't think it'll go through with your asking price mate. Amazon's selling one for the same price. Refurbished with full apple 1 year warranty is £115 delivered. plus you're new...

Tonyfour, you got any ebay feedback?
#4
Open to offers, obviously. I paid the same Amazon price a mere 3 weeks ago, with super-delivery bumping up the cost. Item is in excellent condition so I'm hoping to get as close to the £140 mark as possible!

Thanks dandy, I've been here awhile - just been a bit of a lurker! Yes, I've got all positive eBay feedback. I'm not sure if I can link to it here or not, but for those wondering, my username is radiskull16. So you can see for yourselves :)

I think the point being made is not how long a member has been here it's the amount of trading activity and therefore positive or negative feedback accrued

I know morgan, i just don't like how people on here who genuinly want to sell something at a fair enough price get treated like idiots, when they could have been using ebay or the like for years. Just becasue they have little trading/selling experience on this site, does not mean that you can bully them into lowering a price for you, fair enough be as cautious as you like, but don't expect a lower price off somone because they are 'new'.
note: i have not said anyone is bullying anyone else...i have just seen it happen before thats all

anyway sorry for the rant, good luck with the sale tonyfour.

i dont think the silicone case warrents the price if its £140 brand new even if yours is almost new you still need to lower alot
#12
Fair enough, thanks for the comment mickster :)
Please bear in mind this iPod is only 3 weeks old and in perfect condition.

And as I said blue, I'm open to offers :)

Just having a quick look on eBay now and they are selling for around £120 or with a reserve for £130. Which is pretty much what I was expecting to pick up here tbh. You'd be extremely lucky to get one sub £100 on eBay, especially under a month old! Anywyas, thanks for your interest :)

just looked myself and theres loads going for betwene £80 and £100 aswell

not saying its not worth it just sayiing most people including myself would rather get a brand new one with the 12 month guarentee if they are paying more than £100:thumbsup:
#19
I can't see loads myself, tbh mate. I can only see one that's under £100 on there. Anyways, I appreciate your contributions and interest, but if you're not willing to submit a higher offer then its pointless posting in this thread any further.

ok i am looking at them now tho, and i was offering you advice aswell as just trying to lower price because no one would pay much more than £100 when they are £40 more delivered brand new with 12 month guarentee

Ok mate, advice taken on board. Thanks for your input :)

i was gonna suggest you list on ebay - or in a local paper like fridayad or even on gumtree, in the condition its in you should get more takers than a used one!

Just looked on cex and cant actually believe it! for some reason they are now giving £10 more in exchange than i got - dont know how on earth that works (inflation gone mad??), mine was grade b. Grade a get £89 cash and £123 exchange - if a store near you has copies or rare games then you could easily turn a voucher in to more cash, its what i did (sold the games on amazon eg skies of arcadia for £25 when it was £18 in cex, bit of hassle but i dont use ebay!)...
Anyway im done. Good luck with selling it, i got a shuffle instead and love it!

£140 in PC World with amazon price match + free £20-£25 belkin case.
#25
If anyone else wants to make some offers I'd really appreciate it. £140 is obviously the asking price and I know I'm not going to get that, but any realistic offers on a 3 week old, like-new iPod with case?
#26
I don't see any point in posting to tonyfour what the price is here / there and everywhere..He has stated a price and that is his perogative.
I am sure he's had enough of your information posted here

I'm sure he is a big boy and can speak for himself
#28
I am sure he is is and can and perhaps a little tired of answering same old same old.
#29
my point when saying he's new is that he doesn't have any feedback here. Say even if someone had traded something and this time thing went wrong at least some people in here could provide personal detail/information. No offense but the price OP is true higher even than new sealed from retailers.
Plus... Ebay is a different market where people think they're buying cheap but actually they're not.
#30
aren't the new ones coming out in september anyway? i think the best time to sell is now on ebay before everyone finds out ;) good luck!

Then you'd have to pay PayPal and eBay fees and take the gamble with legitimacy.. after all that I'd say £110 would be a very very good amount to get.

The for-sale forum rules do say that you can state where an item can be found cheaper.
#33
Yes they do but I thought the point of this For Sale/Trade section was for people to list items for sale/trade and then get offers on them. My original asking price is the same as the price on Amazon, minus delivery simply because the iPod is less than a month old, in brilliant condition and comes with a case. I was expecting to receive offers of a reasonable amount i.e. knock £20-£30 off the asking price. Looks like there's no takers. Cheers anyway fellas :)

i went for the refurb direct from apple in the end £115 black or silver with full 12 month guarentee.
