Cracks usually mean the laptop may have been dropped or something was dropped on it. Either way, it may boot up as shown on your photos but there may be potential damage on sectors on the hard drive. Taking off the cost of a potential hard drive replacement, my offer is £300. Thanks.

If you knew anything about Apple laptops you would know that they are prone to cracks in their casings, in fact all products apart from their iMac and new Alu Macbooks are prone to material defects and in most cases these are replaced under warranty by Apple as such a problem is well known within the ranks.

Mini0ne, why could you nkt have had this up a few weeks ago when I had the cash? All I have now is my PS3 to trade which I am reluctant to let go but might if the deal was worth it :)

Just to backup what mini0ne has said..

You're completely wrong polskasweetiepie.

White macbooks are notorious for casing cracks, it's a common issue. It's been well documented by many online sites, with many cases of Apple replacing the macbook even after the initial 1 year warranty coverage:

http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/09/04/08/apple_addressing_cracks_on_white_macbooks_casings.html

Not claiming I know alot about Apple laptops, I'm a PC person. But if this is what Apple laptops are known for, why isn't Apple addressing the root cause of the issue rather than have it dealt with by warranty coverage? More so if it's well do****ented as another one said here.

I guess that's why the shift now is on the aluminum unibody...

Battery are all good, had about 30 cycles each.
X61 last a good 4-5 hours
T61 2-3 hours, but it's a much bigger screen to light up!

Will get pics up some time today.
