For Sale is an Apple Macbook Pro 15.4" 2.53GHZ Core 2 Duo laptop.

It's about 5 months old and has 7/8months of apple care left of the 12 months. (or there about).

The reason for the sale is because I have upgraded to an iMac i5.

I would prefer if buyer collects this item as its very high value.

I will post at buyers request but it will have to be insured.

Cost is £1000 and would prefer BT just to this amount or cash / on collection.

This laptop is in fantastic condition. There are no dents or scratches and its looks fantastic. No dead pixels and no buttons falling off etc. it’s literally in as new condition.

The charge count is 61. so that means it's only been recharged from flat 61 times!! ( this is very good btw )

Shipping/Payment:
Payment of £1000 BT / Cash on Collection.

Genuine buyers only.

Sorry mate looking for cash only. just got a new computer today.

No worries. Might think about selling the MB and putting the cash towards this. Best of luck with the sale though.

Just checked and the exact same is on Apple refurb store for £999:

http://store.apple.com/uk/product/FB991B/A?afid=p204|982861&cid=OAS-EMEA-AFF

That includes the full 12months warranty too..

I'd be interested but it'd have to be a very good deal closer to the M2S price as I really want an i5 MBP..

looking for at least £990 sorry mate.

Whoops, my bad eyesight! Sorry for that. As such, that makes your price alot more appealing, I'll have a think.

lol! no problem man, its very easy to overlook... maybe with a 15.4" screen you'll see easier? lol :)

This is still pretty overpriced for the 'late 2009' model I think you'll probably get £825 but I wouldn't expect any more, judging from te price the newer 15" models are selling second hand.

Agreed- I got £1075 my 2.66ghz 4GB 320GB 15", and it had applecare on it so you'll do well to get £1000 straight cash for this.

Yeah it's the nature of the site I guess - a site for deals attracts people who want to pay less for something.

Cristoff - this really is a great machine. You'll not get an i5 this good for less that £1600 in the next refresh.

I got a 2.4ghz i5 model for £950, and a friend of mine managed to get the 2.53ghz i5 for £1050, both 2nd hand but both obviously newer than this. Granted, I think we were both extremely lucky/

Saying you'll not get an i5 for less than £1600 after the next refresh is irrelevant as this is a 2nd hand machine, and 2nd hand i5's fall well under the £1600 mark.
#31
it also depends where you got your i5 from....? was it damaged, dented, dead pixels, scratches?

all the above is going to knock the price down my machine has non of that. plus warranty your i5 machine probably has the same amount of warranty as my C2D does.

The 2.53 my mate got was new, the 2.4 i got was used but mint condition
#33
thing is mate if you get a grand on ebay you will lose £100 in fees plus another 4% loss via paypal so youd lose £14% of your final value ..hence the reason peeps are now selling on here ..no fees so thats why people haggle
#34
I agree it's a good site, but I wouldn't loose £100 in fees if I sell on eBay and get £1000 and loose £75 in fees it's still 925, on here people offer you 825.... That's 100quid less it's not worth it!!

it wouldn't even be £75, paypal would be about £35 on a £1000 payment, and ebay fees would be around £25 i think
#36
£40 is the maximum Final Value Fee if I remember. But you need to sell on Ebay as £1000 is expensive compare to the nature of this HUKD site.

I sold my Late 2008 2.4Ghz 15" MBP, 4Gb Ram, 500Gb HDD for £840 on Ebay, and no warranty left on that. You should be able to get about £900 after all.
