CEX will give him £19 for it with no codes.

I used to think the trade section was to keep the money away from the game stores and ridiculous trade in prices, now all i see are idiots trying to fleece people :x

I do however think the OPs price was too high but a figure of around the £19 mark delivered then everyone wins if you ask me....

Yes but trade sections are still subject to supply and demand... £12 is a completely fair price for a used copy without the VIP code £12 + £9.99 = £21.99 for a used copy vs £23.95 for a brand new copy.

That is supply and demand for you though. If it were me I wouldn't sell it on here either, not because people try to fleece you but because other places will (stupidly) give you more for it.

I dont want to break rules by here by engaging in a conversataion so will make this post my last in this thread.

CEX are in demand, the OP has the supply..CEX will give him £18 i fail to see why you are still under the assumption £12 is a fair price when he can easily get far more for it.

You misunderstand supply and demand. Demand and Supply on here is independant of CEX, but S&D is never independant of price. S&D can influence price but price can also artificially influence S&D, I.e the demand for a product could appear to be high, but it could just be that the price is low so the demand is high for a bargain not the item.

Thus could account for why CEX are offering so much for the game as te demand is very high for it brand new due to the VIP code and low prices.

there is no demand on these forums for the game without the VIP code at the same price that you can buy a new copy for. CEX are willing, (stupidly as they wont be able to sell them), to buy them for £19. There is no way anyone on here would go near offering £19 for it given my previous comment and thus te lack of demand for it.

Therefore, on these forums, £12 is a fair price, obviously if I was the OP, I would go to CEX to trade it in as they are offering more.
