FS: Black DS Lite with Faulty Touch Screen £50.00

This DS Lite has a faulty touch screen, everything else is still OK. It is black.

When you touch the bottom screen the writing is not in sync with where you touch and in some places it goes all over the place.

We dont know how to fix it, I know a new touch screen can be bought for it but we would probably mess it all up and there'd be even more wrong with it.

If no interest I'll ebay it.

Just the DS Lite, no charger and no box.

im not sure how it is done, but yes its easy, have you not got the instructions that came with it? Fix it yourself and then sell it on, cause that is all the buyers on here will do, knock you down to nothing then flog it on

Soeone will help you fix it on here, im sure

I could go to £40 as it has no charger and stuff.

Config (little button that looks like a DS in the middle bottom of the screen) -> Yellow button with a cross hair on it.

By the way if it keeps going round and round when you try and calibrate then it does need a new touch screen..

Sorry, will hold out for a bit, it's my sons so will need to buy him another one. I know the replacement screens are under £10. I have done the caliberation as Sassie and Baconsandwich have said above but this doesnt work, the square keeps going round and round so it will need a new touch screen (dont know if your still interested in this case).

Sassie - thanks for your help, rep added

Baconsandwich - thanks for your help too, rep added. I followed your instructions and it did just go round and round so it will need a new touchscreen then? I know they are under £10 but wouldnt want to do it myself as I'll probably break the whole thing

Havent a clue where the receipt is, probably havent got it anymore anyway.

I agree with you there, I'd feel guilty if I bought something at a knock down price because the seller thought it was faulty when its a simple fix they didnt know about, I'd feel better knowing i'd helped out!

This may help you out op: How to fix calibration problems on a DS

hang in there bizztme, there are loads on here who are only to willing to help out, someone maybe even local enough and kind enough to put you in a new screen (there cheap enough off deal extremw)

I may be able to help, one way or another. If you don't get anywhere with the recalibration tips that people have suggested, I could sell you a new screen, see my thread here:

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/175838/fs-2-faulty-nintendo-ds-lites

I have a broken DS that I tried to repair by getting a second one for parts, but that has exactly the same fault. They're both motherboard faults so the screens are still good.

Failing that, I'd be interested in buying it to try one of my new screens in it. Would you accept £45 delivered?

Bizzyme: hang in there, £50 is a good price, I would have gad it were it to have come with a charger and box, lol.
Plus I already have one (mine) with a iffy touch screen and another with two broken screens, so could do with one to replace the screens on that, but I will hang it out for a cheap one, yours is in to good condition for what I am wanting to pay for spares :)

I saw your thread but I would be really reluctant to try it because I don't have any idea. I know how to switch them on and play them and thats about it. And I'd need a proper screwdriver and stuff.

It does need a new screen because I have tried the caliberation and that doesnt work, I havent tried the toothbrush yet though, I'll try that tomorrow (thanks harlzter).

I would like to wait for a bit to see if anyone wants to pay asking for it. But if no-one comes up then I'll get back to you to see if you are still interested.

It's a bloomin nuisance, sharing 2 DS's between 3 children.
