FS: BLACK NINTENDO DS LITE + ACCESORIES + boxed - £40.00 REDUCED !!!!

I have for sale a black ds lite, that comes boxed with console, stylus, home charger, in car charger, 8 game cases, a hard carry case,( not pictured ) 2 screen protectors booklets, and a cleaning cloth.

Electronically the ds lite is perfect, but there is one minor flaw at the hinge. ( see pics )

There is a very small hairline crack ( about 3mm wide and 1mm high.) What this causes is that normally, when you open a ds up, it sort of click locks in 3 places. Once at 140° then at 160° and then when its flat at 180°.

On this one, it is sort of click locking at 90° , 120° and 180°

Please see my you tube video of this fault

I do believe it is repairable, either by replacing the hinge or someone with a very steady had and a bit of superglue!

If you're and adult buying this for yourself, I think you would be fine using it, but if giving to a child, they might be a bit rougher with it and make the problem worse.

As I say, electronically it is A1 and cosmetically otherwise it is very good condition with no major marks or scratches and screens are clear with only light usage marks and only then if you hold it up to a light.

I'd meet you halfway at £40. Its gonna cost me a fiver to deliver.

If you were careful with it, it wouldn't need fixing. If you were going to attempt a repair, i would try the superglue on the end of a pin first , carefully dripped into the crack and then held together for 2 mins. It really is a small crack and looks repairable that way.

failing that, yes, you can buy the full top and bottom cases for between £10 - £20 , you could probably just get the bit you needed for a few quid off ebay, and yes, it looks like an hour or so repair job, the videos are on you tube to follow step by step.

Not looking to trade, ( dont have xbox anyway, lol .)

but let me just weigh the items and see what the exact postage will be.

Thanks anyway mate, but I'll leave that offer. The postage even just recoded would be £4.05

I've just examined the ds again now, and to be honest, the fault is not really that bad. it would probably last months with just normal use as it is , if not longer. As i say, its not a broken hinge, just a hairline crack

I was looking at it thinking..........hmmmmm £28.95 ....... ?

And it is worth more than that mate , so sorry

So yeah, I'm sticking at £40 delivered, and I will send out special delivery for that which will cost me £6.70

which in effect , means I'm only asking £33.30 + delivery anyway.

No games, and under normal circumstances, I would have posted first, but am raising funds to get car through MOT asap.
#21
Ok, I wouldn't be comfortable unless you posted first as you have 0 feedback, not saying you're dodgy but I'd never take the risk

Don't go on deal or no deal then, you'll be off at the first offer , lol

Yes i have just started selling on here, mainly cos of sick of ebays FVF's. Where , might I add, i have 1700+ feedback. ( pm sent )

If you see the last item i sold thread, you will see I go above and beyond what is req from this forums T&c's to ensure the buyer is happy.

lol, I'm know what you're saying but the person you dealt with for the red ds hasn't even received it yet so it doesn't really assure me.
If you'd post first I'd be happy to discuss a deal but I've never been ripped off yet and I think this is the best way to keep it like that
#24
Well the tracking number says he has, lol

but thats fine. Its not worth the hassle sending first for £40. I need the £40 to get my passport to get to Spain, and THATS when I'll be selling the pallet of gold bullion i dont have :-p :-p :-p

I wasn't being offensive, the fact is that as you are new with zero feedback you are an unknown quantity. You will find that most people on here would be loathe to hand over the cash and just hope for the best lol. People have to build up their reputation on here.

If it was posted quickly I'd make payment as soon as I received it, but if you're not interested that's cool :)

No offence taken, I was just being tongue in cheek sarky thats all. The reason I dont post first, is that I'm not a sale or return wholesaler, ( wish i was sometimes :-)

I'll leave it a little longer and if not I'll just stick it on ebay, as its the best of all the damaged hinged ones that would be on there.

I just HATE the 13% fvf's and paypal cut :-(
#27
Lol, you will only be asked to post first whilst you have little or no feedback and its so that people can see that you are trustworthy as a seller.

I thought you didn't want to post first as you need the money quickly for an mot? but now you're saying you'll give it longer and then put on ebay?

If you look at my feedback on here you will see that I have done this with other people on here that have had little or no feedback and I have always held up my end of the bargain

I have hundreds of items for sale, and need to raise about £1500 ( for mot, car repairs and holiday etc ) over the next 6 weeks.

I thought I would try on here first before ebay, It isn't a problem as i would have uploaded the photos to photobucket anyway for my ebay auctions, but to be honest, i'm finding selling on here abit too time consuming, and also people seem to want things for nowt ,and way below the market price etc lol

looks like I'm going to have to bite the "ebay fee" bullet, lol

I still may try them all on here first , but if they dont go within a day, I'm just going to pull them and take to auction.

ho hum...we live and learn :-)
#29
So I don't understand why you don't want to post first?
#30
Sorry I'm now expiring as it didn't sell within my prefered timeframe for a quick sale, so I'm sending to auction and will sit on it for a week ! not literally of course, it may aggravate the crack, lol
