are they from another country? cos theres a lot of fake bose earphones poking about... would this person who gave it to you only buy genuine stuff?
Reason being because i googled the model number and it appears to be a USA type one. I have a couple of pairs before and one were in the blister packaging another in the like yours but not the same colour.
