Hi, I have a Brand new Mio C210 Digi-Walker Sat nav for sale.

A review here : http://www.superetrader.co.uk/mio-c210-digiwalker-inc-uk-ireland-maps-mre-p-457.html

Stock Picture : http://www.gps-systems.co.uk/images/mio_c210_annimation.gif (Picture from http://www.gps-systems.co.uk )

It was a present but i live on the Isle of Man so no use whatsoever! (Island is 30 miles by 13!)

Looks very good, The box has been opened but only to checked the contents, Every thing is still sealed and unused! (1 years free update etc unused!)

Would like around £95.

I'd imagine postage would be around £8 recorded, If anyone is interested then i'll post a picture of the actual item with my forum user name etc.

Any questions please PM or post here, Thanks.

check my PM!

Sorry no PM this end.

I tried to stick it on Ebay last night and its a complete rip off, £6.60 and then there will be paypal and a final fee on top off that.

I've seen these go for around £95 on ebay with £7 postage, So i'd like around £90 with postage.

Edit : Do you mean you have PM'd hsbi?, h4x3r?
#11
Yes the pm mentioned was from h4x3r for me. My offer stands - bank transfer so as to icur no charges.

£90 with postage and its a deal. I'd estimate the postage would be around £6 , But i can check what it will cost to send tommorow (I'd prefer to have it sent recorded delivery).

Would prefer cheque though it will take longer (Would have to wait 5 days to clear but would post as soon as its clears and would keep you updated)

I haven't used bank transfer before, So don't know whats involved in setting up or how secure it is, Sorry.
#13
Its brand new in box, With 1 years speed camera updates and TMC traffic alerts!

Its advertised locally and its a bargain!, There isn't one on the net under £100!!
#14
So I guess we don't have a deal then. Thanks for letting me know.
#15
I pm'd you back and there was no reply.

£90 including p+p and you have a deal (And i good one at that!)
#16
Your pm last night said that you were going to check with your bank in relation to bank transfer. I was waiting for you to confirm.
#17
Ah Sorry, Right ok, I'm going over the bank at around 1pm today.

Bank transfer seems pretty straight forward to me, Shouldn't be a problem.
#18
Bank Transfer (BACS) is safer and faster than a Cheque. A cheque has your signature on it.
Anyway, you give the buyer your Sort Code and your Bank Account Number, it will be handy to give them your name and the name of your bank. The buyer either sets up the payment online or through telephone banking (depending on which they have), they could even walk into a Bank and pay over the counter. BACS from different Banks takes about 3 working days to show up in your account. (Lloyds to HSBC, Barclays to Co-op etc) Same Bank to same Bank is either straight away or within a day. (HSBC to HSBC, Lloyds to Lloyds etc.)

If you use Recorded Deliver and the item goes 'walkies', Royal Mail will only compensate you £34.00.
You need to use Special Delivery and that will cost:-
500g = £4.75
1kg = £6.00
2kg = £7.75
#19
Thanks very much Steve, It looks like postage will be the £7.75 then with the packaging.

I'm with IOM bank so it'll be a 3 day transfer.

Well i went over to the bank and they said i shouldn't do a bank transfer unless it was from someone i know, As they will get your full name and account number.

They said Paypal is the safest option as all they (the buyer) gets is an email address.

That thrown a spanner in the works!, sorry!

I don't understand. :?
I thought you was the one selling it, why would you need to go to the Bank?
I find it very hard to believe that a Bank would tell you Paypal is safer, what a crock of $hit. BACS is the safest form of payment, no chance of chargebacks.
You are paid by your employer with BACS.
If anybody should be wary it's the buyer, he's the one with no protection.
Can you explain, I think I'm missing something.:? :? :? :?
#22
Didn't understand it much either, I was expecting to be told (After your post and the fact other people use bank transfer): "yeah, Its safe, You just need this, this and this etc"

But i was told that BACS isn't safe because you have to give your full name, Account number and sort code and that it should be only given to somebody you know you can trust.

The reason for me going over the bank was to pay some money in and also to ask about the bank transfer.

I didn't go into details i just asked, If i sell something on the internet or ebay etc, Is it safe to use bank transfer, That was the response.

But looking online, I thought you could only pay into an account with that number, Therefore no risk!

Totally confused myself!
#23
So Iom-RF what are you saying? Do we have a deal or not? I would have your name if I was to send you the cheque - cannot see what I could do with your account number (other than pay funds into your account).

Please let me know.

You think nothing of sending a Cheque to pay for something, and that has more information on it. Your signature.
You are covered by the Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme so even if somebody was going to set up a D/D in your name you would be covered. The info needed is also on a Cheque.

Anyway, the choice is yours, research BACS online then phone your Bank and ask if you are still unsure.
I have been using BACS and online Banking for many years without any problems at all.

I'm just trying to find out information, I'm worried if the bank woman really didn't know what she was on about why she is working there, They must deal with bank transfers every day.

Hopefully you'll understand as I didn't expect it to get complicated!
#27
Right, Would you be able to send a cheque?
#28
Have pm'd you - need your name and address details.
#29
Names and addresses exchanged, Awaiting payment but its basically sold.

Thanks and sorry for the messing about.
#30
Please mark as sold, done deal, Payment was received and Hsbi has received the Mio.

Just trying to leave Hsbi feedback (as Hsbi has for me)

Thanks.
