I received this from Virgin but I use a wired modem so have no need for it.
This is brand new and boxed and never used.

The model is a Netgear WGR614 and has 4 LAN ports and is 802.11g wireless access point auto rate capable up to 54 Mbps

The box has Virgin Media branding on it but is compatible with all ISP's.

I'm looking for £20 including delivery for this with payment by bank transfer please.

just be aware that once your contract ends with them they may ask for the router back,

We switched to virgin and cancelled after 1 month due to poor service and that was about 6 months ago and we still have the router. Just my experience :)

Yeah I did ask the engineer whether the wireless router was mine to keep and he said yes, so there's no problems there.

Is this a DSL cable wireless router? Would you take £15 for it by BT?

Sorry for the late reply, was just having a bath.

I don't think it makes any difference whether it is cable or whatever. It is simply a router and not a modem so when you plug in your ethernet lead from your modem it becomes wireless.

I'm really looking closer to my asking price of £20 as I priced it to sell. Could you stretch any closer?

Virtually all wireless routers nowadays have integrated modems?

Does this have a mini phone socket/adsl plug on the back?

I think I have the same router (virginmedia - netgear one)

I was under the impression that it is simply a router and not a modem as it says nothing about being a modem on the box.

Physical interfaces:
Internet/WAN:10/100 Mbps (auto-sensing) Ethernet, RJ-45
LAN Ports: Four 10/100 Mbps auto sensing,
Auto Uplink RJ-45 ports (one Cat 5 UTP cable included)
Wireless: 802.11g Access Point auto rate capable up to 54 Mbps

So basically 1 RJ-45 Ethernet port to plug your ethernet lead from your modem into and 4 Ethernet ports for wired connections.

I Googled the model number (looked at the same link you gave above) and it says it can be used on an ADSL or a cable line if you have a modem with an ethernet connection. How about £17?

Hi, is this working for another ISP tho ? Or is it like sky put their own firmware on the router

Yep we're working on the same page here lol. I'll go with £18 if you pay by bank transfer pretty soon and I can get it posted tomorrow.

It comes with a virgin media set up cd but I think thats just drivers. Like I say, you just plug your modem in and you are wireless.
