Nail on the head.

This is so nit picky, so if I got bought a gift I couldnt sell it on because I didn't pay anything for it? Seems a bit silly..

this rules a little dodgy to be honest, I've seen ads for ppl selling rare items, such as sealed old computer games, as collectors items for more than they would have originally paid for it.

I agree that if u don't own it (i.e. selling for a mate) then u can't sell it but if you have won it (and can prove that u won it and not stolen it!) and its yours then you should be able to do what u want. At the end of the day the OP is just being open and honest to where he got it, better than most descriptions on here!

Good luck wherever u end up selling it!

You cannot sell comp items unfortunately your going to be punished for being honest.

This was discussed the other day. I will refer you to the rules too found here

The mods will lock your thread and explain why.

Kind regards

I actually agree that it is a silly rule, as long as you can prove that it was won by yourself then i don't see a problem.

At the end of the day they have an item worth £300 that they are willing to sell for the benefit of another member at a lower price.

Stoopid rule

Stoopid rule

It would benefit someone but if i was buying something brand new i would also want the warranty to go with it, so i don't know how that would work. If i knew i was buying off Knock off Nigel then it's a risk i take, but i guess this site is covering their members backs with the rule.
