Hello everyone,

--

This is my first post in the For Sale / Trade section, although I have been a long-time eBayer with 100% feedback since August 2001. You can view my eBay feedback here: http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=liddlefeesh

This item is being listed on HotUKDeals exclusively for the next week or so.

As this is my first item for sale on HotUKDeals and to prove I own the feedback above, I would be happy to list the item on eBay under my account with a Buy It Now (but a further P&P of £6.00 would be applied if you wish to purchase via eBay).

This is a six month old HD 2900 Pro card, which is capable of running all the latest games. It is a stock card (not overclocked) and very, very capable. In terms of power, it's about double the capability of the Radeon x1950, which is about double the Radeon x850, which is about double a Radeon 9800 Pro. It's a sweet-spot upper-middle range card with excellent reviews and bang for buck performance.

The downside is that it's a very big graphics card and it's heavy. Depending on your motherboard layout it will occupy two PCI spaces. You will require a modern PSU of at least 480 watts (I believe the manual states 550, but I've been running at 480 just fine).

Inside the box you'll get the hardware and software installation guides, the CD (please use the latest drivers from http://ati.amd.com, a crossfire cable, TWO DVI-to-VGA adaptors, one DVI-to-HDMI adaptor (supports HDCP), a Composite to RGB cable and another cable which looks like some sort of Composite to S-Video splitter.

I bought this card last year for £139.99. new. It saw about five months use and has been sitting spare (in a cool, dry room!) for several months.

I'm asking only for £50, which can be paid by PayPal and I will ship the card via Royal Mail - perhaps even on the same day :)

To proceed, send me a PM or reply to this post :)

edit: To proceed, please reply to this post on the forum and NOT by PM. Apologies for getting this wrong, it's my first thread on HUKD.

Have you got a pic of the actual item with your username next to it rather a stock photo?

EDIT: and btw the rules state that all dealings must be on the thread - "To proceed, send me a PM or reply to this post"
[admin]#2
Keep all dealing in this thread please, dealing by PM is not allowed.

Hello all,

@Juliet_bravo: Firstly, apologies for the request for PM. I did read through the rules, but it must have been before my early morning coffee! I'm absolutely happy to discuss on fora.

@Liddle ol' me: Yes, it's a stock photo, but it's identical to the actual item. There isn't any wear and tear so to speak and it's in *immaculate* as-new condition. I'm not sure exactly what you're asking for regarding the photos. If you're interested in the item I can prove my reputation by taking photos of the item with my username written down on a piece of paper in the foreground. It's an unusual request, but is this what you're looking for?

I'm also going to edit the title of this listing to place the letters "FS: " before the title, as seems in line with other's postings here.

Actually not an unusual request on here, esp to people who haven't traded here / aren't known. One reason is that some scammers have come on here before using the same username as an ebay account which wasn't actually theirs, trying to claim somebody else's feedback history. A couple of ways to help reassure people this isn't the case is to post the picture with date and username next to it, preferably with the HUKD thread in the background. Another is to check it's their ebay account by sending a message with a password they can report back on the thread. Both are usually a good idea for new traders imo.

I'm only half interested in the card. I do need a new one, but don't think I need one as good as this tbh.

@Liddle ol' me,

Thanks for taking the time to explain that to me. I can see the problem regarding scammers. I'll save myself the time in uploading photographs unless someone else who's really serious requests them :)

If you're only half interested in a replacement card, I also have the Radeon x1950 (PCI-e, Direct X 9, SM 3.0) available. That's about half the power of this 2900 Pro and runs Half Life 2 / Counterstrike and WoW at full settings at 1920x1200 with playable FPS. Sadly might not be that good for Crysis or COD4 (unless at lower resolutions) though. Since it's almost literally half a 2900 Pro (size included!), I'll send it at half the price of this 2900 Pro, including P&P for £25.00.

Please let me know if you're ready and want the pictures :)

Best Regards,

Mike
