Ive got what appears to be a dead nx7400 for sale. It was working fine until a few weeks back when all of a sudden it wouldnt power up. My rabbit has chewed the cable from the brick to the laptop but only the casing and cant find an exposed wires and as the brick doesnt have any indicators on it, Im not sure if theres even power going into that.

Last time it powered up, everything was working fine but as Ive since got my hands on another one, Im selling this one for spares.

It comes with everything but the hard drive, is in used condition, the latch when you close the lid doesnt always catch and the 6 cell battery doesnt stay charged for long at all. Spec as follows

Intel Core Duo Processor T2400 (1.83-GHz, 667-MHz FSB, 2-MB L2 cache) Going by the part number but as it doesnt power up, I cant confirm 100%

Memory
1Gb DDR2 667(5)
Removable media
DVD+/-RW SuperMulti with Double Layer

Audio
PremierSound High Definition Audio w/24-bit audio DAC, line out/headphone jack, microphone jack
Wireless support
Wifi Adaptor (not sure of details)
Communications
Broadcom 10/100 Ethernet PCI Controller, 56K v.92 modem
Expansion slots

Thanks but gonna try and hold out for now, also don't think a hard drive will be much help on its own as its the power which seems to be an issue.

Any chance you could include the hard drive, it's easy to wipe and should have an install partition on it.

I'd have to look into it as I'm now running an xp machine and can't access all the files (won't give me access) and couldn't send it without getting all my data and would then have to wipe it myself as couldn't risk someone not wiping it. I'm sure I've got the install files on CD but once again, I'll have to check.
#11
Where are you for collection, I could wipe it, have you tried? maybe the files you can't access is the os and drivers hp put on, I'd go £60 delivered with hdd, hdnl is £5.99
#12
the files i can't access are everything in the my documents section, everything that i need to back up. if i can find out how to access them (doesn't even give me the option to access them using my username/password), I'd happily wipe it. I'll have a look around now.

Its worth £30 at most, that's all you'd get as it's damaged, and to be honest you'd pay £50 for a 16:9 screen, not an old 4:3 screen.
#14
Do you need the files or just want them deleted, do we have a deal at £60.

I was actually going to make an offer, and was willing to pay £60 for it, and collect it. But as that attitude has shown, I'll buy from someone else...

What, you were going to make an offer double of what you thought it's worth, collect even though I didn't post my location until after that post and what do you expect when I've got ppl making offers and you come on saying its not worth it ?!
#18
My offer was without postage btw as was going to arrange myself so bear that in mind.

I'm going to sit on this tonight as got my mate popping round to hopefully sort out my data. If all goes to plan, I'll add the hard drive as well... Sorry for messing people around and I'll update later.
