Bought this just before Christmas, so just under 2 months ago. But have decided to upgrade to a more high end soundcard.
For any one with a spare PCI slot in their PC and want a step up from onboard sound, an easy upgrade, plug in - install and you're away.
Has the front panel connector, so the front inputs/outputs don't become useless.
OEM.
Erm...has the X fi technology, google it for more information.
Will come in an anti-static bag and with installation cd, as it came for me.

My computer's a vista, so works fine there. XP therefore would be fine.

I''ve never understood the difference between music and gaming cards(technically that is). Do you mean for SFX etc?
With the crystalizer is does sound very defined. And I'm sure with a 5.1 to 7.1 setup it would be pretty amazing (I have some 2.0 Logitech Z-10's)
