dream on!

its worth zilch without original COA and disk. having a label with a key on isnt worth anything.

yip i agree with csi man on this one without original disk and COA its worthless regardless wether you have the serial number or not! plus the tower and compenents themselves are old and not worht a lot so around £60 is a good offer

So you guys aren't going to get any old XP Home disk, install Windows using the Product Key stuck on the case (which is the COA btw) & activate it?

Technically, that would make it illegal wouldn't it guys? ;-)

And, if it came with the original disk you'd offer more? :whistling:

You can kid yourselves, but don't try to kid others

th coa is actuall a piece of paper that comes with windows disks am i not mistaken? the product key could have been used loads and loads of times for all we know!

Yes, if it's OEM - & it doubles as the COA. It does have some security features though, so it's not a 'plain' piece of paper. The OP must confirm its authenticity - otherwise, it is useless as you guys say.

That's true. But if the OP can confirm that the COA sticker on the case is the original that came with the hardware in it (which I assumed), you probably have every right to install Windows again & claim true ownership/activation of the licence.
