Could resist the new Dell Studio XPS at the weekend - nearly £700, yikes! - so time to recoup some costs and sell some unused hardware. (Another desktop will be listed in a week or two). This is a good solid performer and in excellent condition, cosmetically and otherwise.

Dell Vostro 200
Windows Vista Business (32-bit)
Intel Core 2 4300 @ 1.8GHz.
2GB RAM
250GB HDD
DVD+/-RW
On-board graphics
13-IN-1 MEDIA CARD READER
VIGLEN VL-17AES 17" LCD Flat Screen PC Monitor
Resource CDs, including OS, etc. and all the other stuff that came with the computer - keyboard, mouse, etc. I have other software that I can install too if needed. Just ask...

Purchased 30/07/2007 but used as the main desktop for about 6 months. Since then it has been sitting in our spare bedroom and turned on once or twice a month at most, mainly because we have 2 laptops and another desktop in the house. It really should be somewhere else.

Once I have a buyer, I'll reinstall the OS.

250GB HDD = 7200 RPM 8MB Cache

I will add an extra 2GB RAM for £15. Total = 4GB RAM.
- Liddle ol' me
Shipping/Payment:
£229 collected or add delivery at cost (£10 or so for courier costs should cover it).

I've now added a 256GB Graphics card. Everything tested and in tip-top condition.

Let me get back to you on this after I answer the the next question...

imtheking1985
what graphics chip is the onboard GPU?

"INTEL G33/G31 Express Chipset Family" showing in Device Manager. They are good - I had the computer hooked up to my 22" Samsung for a while. Got great vision but added a 128MB graphics card at one stage to get a DVI connection. Had to remove it again as it was much worse than the onboard graphics....

how would i get the computer?
#15
bargainhunter18 - do you live in the NorthWest by any chance? If I can save the hassle of packing, arranging courier etc, that would be worth something to me...

EDIT:

Yes, it would be a long car trip!

Ok, if we can meet somewhere in the middle of our prices, I can look for a reasonable courier and include that in our agreed price. What do you think - £215 delivered?

im thinking more of £200 delivered. need to get this laptop sold as well!

Hmm ... ok, let's keep this conversation on hold for a while then. You haven't got the funds yet and and I'm not keen on going to that price - I'd say we have no choice! :p

Scrub well my good man - don't forget behind your ears . . . .

Right, ears and all other bits clean.

OK, I was willing to do £215 delivered on this on the basis that I could get parcel to go for £8 so that's £207 collected. Since then I've added the gfx card and will add 2GB RAM as well so I calculate that to be £225 collected. If I sold the monitor for £50 delivered (£42 to me), that would make the PC about £183, call it £180. Anyway, those are the kind of figures I'm thinking as I'm confident I could put it on ebay at £260+ postage.

Whaddafink?
#33
im willing to go £45 on the monitor m8, thats seriously as high as i can go, ill pay via BT

Sorry for late reply, got caught up watching a DVD. ..

Ok, back tomorrow on this then. I'm happy to sell the monitor if el gringo wants the desktop.
#35
ok m8, incase i dont look on here for a while, can you just give me a pm to let me no its all ok, and ill make payment :)
#36
Ok, well let's get it done then as one way or the other I want to sell the monitor. Even if mbgringo doesn't want the pc, I can still list the pc separately on ebay. Thanks pm'ing you a paypal addy for gift payment. Please send your address and I'll get a courier arranged for collection tomorrow/tuesday. Thanks

edit: sorry, just saw you said BT. Is that your preferred way?
#37
Do you still have the desktop?

How much was you looking for it including P+P? (Minus the monitor of course).

Yes, I still have it - interested parties haven't returned to the thread. See my offers above for the collected price. Delivery would be extra at cost (£8 - £15, depending on what method/courier you prefer).
#39
So would it be £180 delivered (not the monitor obviously)?

Is that with the extra RAM?

Is the computer wireless?

What other software can you put on it???

Sorry for the million questions.
#40
Hi again - the original offer above for £180 was based on collection or meeting my partner in Warrington to exchange. But yes, that would be with the extra RAM (4GB) and the 256MB graphics card. No the computer doesn't have a built-in wireless - you would need a USB wireless adaptor for that or a cable. Let me know if you need any more info - thanks.
