Bought this off apples33 to try and fix the ribbon thing. Found that the clip for a certain ribbon has been broken and then stopped. Can't be bothered to try and do something else. Maybe someone can? Selling for the same price. Will send first class recorded for the same price bought

can send today if sold quick enough (no returns etc)

old thread - all details you want is in there. All spares etc is included. All i have done is open, found broken clip, tried to slide it back in, and put back together.
may also be good for spares and repairs. any offers considered (i dont think this counts as a bump as it is just adding some more info within 2 minutes of opening this thread)
bump anyone? wheres all those nds lite fixers when you need em? looking for a quick sale so i can send if off today
FINAL bump and price drop. If noone wants this off me, i might as well throw this in the bin :(
IF this clip was broken when you got it, I suggest you send it back and ask for a refund.
He obviously must have known that this was why it wasn't working.
I had a couple like this off fleabay and it makes me mad that people think you are stupid enough to put up with it.
Send it back and demand your money back.
He made no mention of the clip being broken and therefore being uneconomical to repair.
Why not just source a ribbon clip?
this should be expired now - basically i had another stab at it
and whilst i dont think it was the fault of the seller that made the clip break - it was actually sort of in position when i opened it the ds itself. The ribbon was not in, so I gently tried to open the clip (and it was the right way). It was not "snapped" in if you could say that. It fell of the ds. and when i picked it up it was in two. Prob my fault, but i swear anyone could have done it (however im taking it as it is my fault as i handled it).
Anyways, that was for the touch screen anyway, so i continued, hoping that the touch screen bit could be fixed later and the rest fixed up.
So I looked at the most common fault, which was the top screen ribbon, re-entered it, and did it again. Repeated for some time (say a few hours). Same result. Then i did it one more time, and BINGO. It works (cept the touch screen bit). tried to fix everything together, turned it on, and now im back to square one. WTH?
Opened it all back up again, looked at the ribbon and it was ok, so i reentered it, again and again for godknowshow long, and it stayed like that. In frustration that i had it then lost it, I just stopped again, never realising that in the midst of it, one of the metal clips that holds the ribbon for the touch screen had snapped off....
So the fault is basically either the top screen, or the section where you enter the top screen ribbon. Im leaning towards the section bit, so might as well get a full nds lite motherboard and see. Too bad nowhere sells them. Spent in total of about 9 hours on it, and i give up.
Might be worth breaking for spares and Ebaying if you can be bothered.

Cases, screens, buttons etc are quite lucrative depending on what is saleable.
What colour?
