For sale is this laptop

http://www.samsungpc.com/products/x20/x20.htm

For some reason this stopped charging, and since then has not been used, around 2 years ago. It also does not power from the charger alone so I'm guessing the problem is around that area. I have passed it onto someone to have a look, not sure what they did, but couldn't fix either.

I have no way of testing this, but if another charged X20 battery was to be inserted, it should power on as normal, but I'm no laptop techie - but could be an easy fix for someone in the know.

Do have the box somewhere and CDs, and charger. Laptop has scratches on the lid.

Any questions please add. Not sure of the value, paid £800 from Ebuyer a few years ago and have put a price for rules.

Any questions, please ask and I'll answer best I can.

Cheers

So I am assuming someone has opened it?

Hi

This should power up if a charged battery is inserted, but I can't guarantee unless I can get hold of one, but yeah, it should power up and function fine.

It does not power up using the mains which suggests to me problems around that area. As far as I'm aware, all it needs is electricity and the laptop should be fully functional.

I'd be happy with £100 though if you wish to go ahead. Was the amount I was expecting.

So if it does not work with a charged battery would you accept a return and refund?
#11
I know what you mean.
It must be main board [ power supply part ] problem, must be repair a BMA chip.
that is very expensive to repair, if you don't repair this , this may be a rubbish.....
I think just can pay 50 pounds.

yeh was going to say, on fleabaya you can pick up these spec laptops for £100 and alot of the time alot less. this is just spares tbh, too old and too expensive to repair if you were to buy it at anything over £50

I would be happy to refund but would not pay for the cost to return.

Where are you based? I think £50 is low, plus there's delivery to consider.

Although comparisons with Ebay aren't allowed (please correct me if I'm wrong) just by searching Samsung X20, I can quickly see for spares

Battery - £30
Screen - £50
Charger - £20
Even the little hinges for the memory - £20
Cooling Fan £30

I could go on...60 gig 2.5 hard drive, ram, XP etc

Plus if anyone knows their stuff, I think they'd be able to fix it, as I believe it can still power on, hence the reason why I think £50 is too low, plus its boxed.

Forgot about this.

Bump 2, have removed the hard drive - £40 collected, or you arrange.

Thanks
