FS: Faulty Sony Vaio VGN-FZ11M Laptop £100.00

Hey guys,
Yesterday my house mates Sony Vaio laptop just up and died while playing Football Manager. Seems to be a graphcis error as it boots up fine but the screen is in dodgy colours during both bootup and after logging in.

Also, the battery is pretty much dead but it's absolutely fine while plugged in.

Honestly, no idea what it's worth but will be open to offers.

Any questions or requests, just ask.

Cheers!
-Matt

Sorry about not listing a price. The photos were uploading while you guys posted :)

If I set a list price at £100 and then offers can be made.

Thanks for posting guys,
-Matt

You tried plugging it into a tv or monitor?

No, but a graphics error box appears when you boot up windows. Plus, on the Hardware manager it says that the device had been disabled or something along those lines, so we just assumed it's to do with the graphics card itself.

My mate spoke to Sony today, you need the receipt and Nvidia changed it to within 3 years of purchase because anything afterwards can be considered wear and tear.

Hey mate. Reason my mate doesn't repair it is because he doesn't know how to, plus his dad's offered to buy the new laptop so no real incentive. I'll get him to give me the specs for it later and i'll forward them to you.

Since asking price has been offered, shall we take this to PM?
#15
£110 delivered if not too late?
#16
If interested can pay immediately

Gilimos
£110 delivered if not too late?
#17
Ill offer you £120
#18
Since gavtrfc has offered the asking price, it's his.

I've pm'd him asking to hear from him within the next 24 hours, if I don't hear from him then it'll go to who ever has the highest bid by then (assuming this is within the policy of HUKD fs/ft)

Cheers,
-Matt

Well, not heard from gav within the 24 hours from messaging him, wouldn't mind getting some mod clarification as to whether or not I can sell it to someone else now.

If your asking price was £100 delivered then offers above that are against the rules

But am I allowed to sell it for £100 to someone else? How long do I have to wait to hear from gav?
#22
Also its your housemates laptop not yours so the rules say you cant sell it for him.

Yesterday my house mates Sony Vaio laptop just up and died while playing Football Manager.

emJayO - please clarify who is taking full responsibility for the sale including payment, providing full contact info, posting and packaging and dealing with any subsequent issues - would that be 100% you or your house mate ? Please update via the report link to the right, thread temporarily locked in the meantime.
I will be taking full responsibility for the full sale of the laptop, including any subsequent contact with the buyer after the sale has been completed.

Thank you for updating, thread unlocked.

Well in that case if the 24 hours up on the £100 offer. May I be the first to make a duplicate £100 offer. :)
#25
surely i should get a second refusal?

Gilimos
£110 delivered if not too late?

virus_786
Ill offer you £120

Virus the item has been listed for sale at £100 and an offer accepted at that - you have enough experience in the trade forums to know that bidding is strictly not allowed and no offers can now be accepted above asking price. Gilimos, I would also suggest you read the trade forums rules before posting further.

An offer has been accepted at £100 - if the buyer does not respond in a reasonable time then the seller can offer the item for £100 or less to another party.
#27
Hi Sigma, I have a quick question.
What do you class as a "reasonable" period of time. Seller specified that will give 24 hours for previous buyer to respond and that has expired, is this class as reasonable therefore can now sell on. Noted your point on not above asking.
Many thanks for your clarification
#28
It's been a long enough wait now. I will sell to Gilimos as he was the first person to offer over the asking price and since bidding can't take place, he will get it for £100+del.

Cheers,
-Matt

120 quid could be the 100 quid + £20 postage, as no postage cost was ever discussed..

Tbh i think some rules here are just petulent nonsense.
